A lot to like about [player_tooltip player_id='957840' first='Savanna' last='Wright'] of Mount Vernon High School and AIA EYBL. Wright is your traditional PG. Someone that you give the ball to and tell her to go to work. She is pass-first and loves to make the others around her better with her creating ability. She can also score herself at all offensive levels but she definitely thrives while making the big plays for her team at the PG spot as a passer. It'll be interesting to see how she fairs this upcoming Winter with a new coach and a bunch of new teammates at the Varsity level. If they play their cards right, they will be just fine and Wright will continue to thrive.

It's going to be a big season ahead of [player_tooltip player_id='766304' first='Paige' last='Andernacht'] of Johnston High School. Andernacht is one of the top rated PF's in this 2028 Class in Iowa. If she is used in the right ways, she could do really well in the paint for the Dragons. This is a program that will be guard heavy. I mean, really guard-heavy so if Andernacht can be a force in the paint, they are going to have a chance to run it back for another 5A State Title. They have all the pieces, they just need to get them to work in the correct ways and the rest will be history. As for Andernacht individually, she is fairly skilled for her age and position. She is pretty polished in her game-play and that's because of her past experiences playing up. She still needs to keep working but there is a lot to like outta this one.

I haven't been able to see a ton of [player_tooltip player_id='920273' first='Samantha' last='Dorrity'] this AAU season as she made the switch to North Tartan EYBL out of Minnesota but from what I have seen, it's been a good season for the 4A State Champion. Dorrity was a crucial part to her high School team's 4A State Title this past Winter and she has picked up right where she left off. Which is making big plays for her team, especially on defense. Dorrity has the ability to guard multiple spots because of her mixture of size and athletic prowess. She can switch onto most opponents in screening situations and she is always looking to come from help-side for a thunderous block or deflection. I get to see Dorrity again this weekend and I'm excited. If she plays her game, she should produce with several coaches and evaluators in the building.

[player_tooltip player_id='880906' first='Kalyn' last='Scamman'] received her first collegiate offer the other day when UNK stepped up to throw their hat in the ring for the CG. Scamman is a true PG. She is listed as a CG cause she can also produce from the SG spot but the reality is that when you watch her for a few minutes, you immediately can tell that she is more comfortable running her team's systems. She is also the one that make things happen when a play might break down though so it's fair to say that she wears several different hats on the high school floor. At a D2 program, she could probably play both spots depending on whoever else is on roster. This is the first offer for Scamman but definitely won't be the last.

Carlisle High School is going to have revenge on their minds this season, coming off of a Winter in which they fell just short of the State Tournament. I actually think they will redeem themselves and make it this time around. A big reason for that will be 2028 - [player_tooltip player_id='880909' first='Kami' last='Clark'] at the SG/CG spot. Clark plays off the ball within this system because of their star PG - [player_tooltip player_id='502100' first='Macy' last='Comito']. Comito creates and Clark cashes in. Something you love to see from a continuity standpoint. If they can do that same thing this time around, they should find themselves in Des Moines before you know it.
