When one looks at an offseason schedule of events, one of the first things that many look for are live periods as it gives an opportunity for players to showcase what they can do in front of collegiate coaches and scouts.

One of those live periods set for this year happened to be the second week of June. Once again, at this year's SC Live Team Camp, one could not take a few steps without noticing someone from a university. A litany of them were on hand – as were a litany of teams from across the Palmetto State.

We at Prep Girls Hoops made the drive to the CSRA as well. Here is a look at even more from the 2026 class that caught our attention.

Clover has consistently been among the class of the 5A field the past several seasons – including last season when the Blue Eagles posted a 23-3 record. Chambliss stands at 5-foot-8 and is a product of the [program_tooltip program_id='715685' first='E.A.' last='Lady Stars'] program. If Chambliss is behind the 3-point arc with the ball in her hand and space around her, she is likely to attempt – and connect – on said try from deep. Chambliss is also effective in the transition game and can corral steals as well. She is a reason why the Blue Eagles will likely be a dangerous bunch once again when the 2025-26 season arrives.

Experience will be a hallmark of the 2025-26 version of 5A Clover. Chambliss will be one of several seasons that will be part of the roster for coach Shakkia Walker's Blue Eagles. Chambliss, whose career, included a stint at another 5A school in Fort Mill, can be a task to contend with on defense with her ability to collect steals. She is also an effective passer who can get her teammates in positions to make plays. She is another who can make effective transition plays and finishes strong at the rim. Chambliss also has the ability to connect on her 3-point attempts.

Teams that typically have plenty of veteran talent usually put together winning seasons. Smith looked like a standout that will be a reason why Clover will once again be a tough team to beat in 2025-26. As someone who can play as either a shooting guard or a small forward, Smith can give a team worthwhile minutes as a wing. Smith is another from the [program_tooltip program_id='715685' first='E.A.' last='Lady Stars'] program meaning she has developed plenty of chemistry with [player_tooltip player_id='637733' first='Julienne' last='Chambliss']. She has the ability to drain her 3-point attempts and to also draw contact to get to the free throw line. If what she displayed at Riverview Park is any indication, Smith can be a formidable x-factor for what will surely be a solid Clover team.

Powell is another talent that we at Prep Girls Hoops have become familiar with recently. She is coming off an impressive showing on the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit with [program_tooltip program_id='715412' first='SC' last='Eagles'] UA Rise 16U. In addition to basketball, she also competes in track and field events – including in the high jump. Her playmaking and shot making ability can throw off defenses as they will be unsure as to if Powell will attempt from midrange or long-range or if she will finish close to the rim. Standing at 5-foot-10 can certainly provide a height advantage and she knows how to stay active away from the ball.

After experiencing the euphoria of a state championship, what more is there for a high school baller to do? Many will say three words – run it back. Williams displayed more than enough signs at Riverview that she is poised to do just that. She has a height advantage over most guards given she stands at 5-foot-8 and can play at either point or as a shooting guard. A 3-point shot is an element of her overall offensive game. Williams gave her 5A Division 1 Blythewood team career numbers in 2024-25. She averaged 16.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.8 steals per contest with the Bengals.

Live period events are when many players showcase their best basketball given the possibility they may leave said event with offers. One would think some of the coaches would be impressed with certain aspects of Hightower's game – particularly the aggressiveness and fearlessness she displays when attacking the rim. Hightower's scoring prowess is complimented by her talents as a passer, her court vision and her high basketball IQ. She knows how to read a defense regardless of if it is in man-to-man or zone. Hightower averaged 12.4 points, five steals and 3.5 rebounds per contest last season.
