She Got Game Combine Outstanding Players

The Memorial Day Combine had a mix of players from grade 5-12 divided on three courts by grade and skill level. The four hours consisted mostly of instruction and drill work with the final hour allowing the players to put what they learned into action with some 5 on 5 action. Here are some of the players that faired well during the day.    Kynza has a solid frame with strong legs. She showed good vision and made nice decisions with the ball. She finished well even when she drove wide from the basket. She had range out to the three on her set shot.     Lola knocked down the three and was good driving and finishing in transition. She kept her head up with the dribble making good the right play when attacking.     Nina showed good leadership on the floor despite being one of the younger players on her team. She has a mature high school frame and has some dribbling skill to play the perimeter. She is a solid interior defender with a high IQ.     Isabel finished well around the basket. She had good hands to catch and finish in transition in a single motion. She moves the ball well and looks to attack off the dribble. She has good size and speed. She attacks a little wide at times but that is something that can be easily corrected.     Audrey was one of the smaller players in the combine but had one of the biggest hearts. She was aggressive attacking without fear with a lot of success against taller defenders. She is only a seventh grader and perhaps one of the top player in her class.
