Saturday kicked off Day 2 of the Super 64 held in Mansfield, Texas. I always enjoy watching players for the first time. Sometimes I see things that some one might not have seen. It happens all the time in recruiting. Play at the right time in front of the right person can get you a offer. If I missed you please hit with those highlights as I do go through them.
The 2028-point guard stood out in the 2 games I watched Saturday. Good handles in the open as most of the time it was get her the ball and clear out. I really liked the way she changes speed and directions on the spot. You can tell this young lady has spent the hours working on changing directions with a Varity of moves. Consistently kept getting to the rim on the drives using different angles for the finish. A tough gritty player that did mind chopping the shot blocker in half to draw the foul.

On defense she continued to be all over the place. Meaning if there was a deflection, loose rebound or 50/50 ball odds are she was in the middle of it. Tough on the ball defender that can stay in your hip pocket without getting beat. A exciting player to watch for the first time and one to follow for sure.. Side note: Named District 6th man of the Year as a Freshman last season

When describing Kinley game, she is one of those players that gives you a little bit of everything. She can knock down the outside shot as well as the nice mid-range pull up jumper. Nice pocket dribble and patience is the best move when attacking the rim waiting for the gap to open up to attack the rim. The athletic jumping ability along with nice sweep keeps the ball protected from the block. An all-out hustler on both ends of the court.

Without knowing Kinley season stats, I would guess around 12 ppg then good numbers on every stat. A stat sheet filler is what I call those players. A versatile player that given the opportunity could make a program somewhere.

A lights ou 3-point shooter is the best way to describe Avery this weekend. Being that the first-time seeing Avery play she only guest 3/3 from deep on just her first 3 touches. The shooting mechanics are on point as the feet and hands are ready on the catch. Follow through is perfect and the rotation on the ball is tight. You know the bucket is good by the swish sound. Good ball handler that could release the pressure off the point guard. Sharp vision with ball always looking to advance the ball with the pass.

On defense she is a hustler. Meaning she would be the one in a press that you would to cover more than one trap. One thing on her mind when playing off the ball is picking off that pass for the layup. Showed understanding for help rotation dropping several times to cover the hammer corner pass. Smart player that is a high percent out shooter making her a game changer. Looking forward to keeping up with her recruiting process.

Brooklyn looked focus this weekend and is ready to create some opportunities for herself. The guard has a great skill set that will allow a coach to use her im multiple ways on offense and defense. An outstanding shooting guard that can get hot in a hurry from beyond the line changing the momentum in a hurry. Saturday she was impressive with the mid-range pull up jumper when ran off the line or attacking the gaps. The size and physical advantage she has over small shooting guard made if difficult to them to stop her on direct drives.

On defense the stance is low and long giving up no direct drives to the bucket. Understands defensive rotation in the press and half-court game. She seemed to just be sitting back waiting for the skip pass so she can jump it for the steal. A very impressive weekend as mentioned and I would expect more offers to come after Super 64 and next event.

The forward/center has great size and sure seemed to play bigger than 6' A player that could play the 3-5 position on the court. Outside shot looked smooth with great form making her a threat at the 3-point line and short corner. The high post shot from the 15 feet mark to go along with her passing skills makes her a perfect fit in a high low game. Great hands inside the paint that easily caught any pass that came her way.

On defense she can be physical enough to bang among the big post but has the lateral footwork to guard 20 feet out. At times she switched on the screen and made it difficult to get by or shoot over. A very athletic player that I had to ask if she played volleyball because of her jumping abilities. No sir was the answer. When asked about recruiting she mentioned 1 offer. This young lady can play at the next level. I would expect her interest to pick up after the second live period

Nadia brings the complete package when you talk about being a point guard. The first thing that stands out is the height and body size she has. It allows her to be versatile in playing1-3 position. The offense skill box is full of several moves that can get into a attack the rim or space to knock down the outside shot. Great vision in the half court sets with passes on a rope to a backdoor cutter, even better vision in the open floor where she can advance the ball 30 feet on a pass.

Tough defender on defense that can apply the pressure 94 feet creating points off the turnover. The body size and physical play also allows her to be able to switch on the post on guard screens.

If you have Nadia play then I am telling you nothing your already know. If you have seen her play check her out. She is well deserving among the Top Players in the class 2028.
