She Puts in Work Camp: Top Shooters (3 point competition)

The camp was broke down in to skill stations, then some 3 on 3, and finished off with 5 on 5. Lets look at some of the tope shooters during the 3 point shooting competition. These are from the notes I took no official stats. The form is the same nice and smooth with a good follow through no matter if it just a few steps beyond the college line. Made it to the Finals of the competition reaching the same corner spot as the winner. Got hot in several spots making 5 in row one time during the competition. The winner of the shooting competition making the last bucket with pressure being applied by the runner up. I have coached against this young lady and I can tell you on the scouting report was you need to know where Tycee was located on the floor. Got hot from the corner spot knocking down 5 in a row from that spot. Again, listed as a small forward but I have seen this young lady have to work for shots so more than a set shooter. She caught the ball in the pocket with shooting hand under the ball. There was no dip in the shot. Caught the ball in shooting pocket pivoting to square up. Nice smooth pull up with the elbow then pop of wrist and fingers down. All this motion led to a very constant shot with the back spin that makes the nets go swish. The feet and hands are set just needing just the basketball to make the outside shot. Solid follow through with the hand in the jar and fingers down. The feet are down and ready. She caught the ball with hand under it and was no wasted time in the motion at all. Brooklyn was making the same shot in every drill today as well as 5/5 play. What stood out was the shooting form. Nice shooting form L in the arm with the elbow in and shooting pocket release around eyes as she followed through with the gooses neck follow though. Good snap of the wrist and ball rolled off the finger tips. The shooting capability opened up driving lanes in 5/5 play. Add a great follow through that resulted in a lot of all net makes that never toughed the rim. All you heard was the swish of the net. Got hot in several spots rolling off 5 in a row. The same shooting mechanics were used in open play with an added 1-2 footwork into the shot. A goose neck follow through on the release with the wrist snaping down inside the rim. The fingers are down giving the ball a nice back spin resulting in an all net or a sweet bounce off the rim.  She has good balance in her legs strength to go along with the strong pop of the wrist that stayed consentient on every shot. The consistency showed as Zoe reached the semifinals in the 3-point competition. Another promising 2029 from Ft.
