In this article we speak about five hoopers that will drive success this upcoming season with their high school program's, wherever that may be. These five have been productive in years past and if you understand each of their upcoming rosters, you know that they should have a big part in that once again over the next eight months at the very least.

[player_tooltip player_id='946938' first='Jenna' last='Benjamin'] will be a collegiate athlete. It just depends for which sport at this point. Benjamin, as well as being as respectable hooper, is a killer on the soccer pitch. She competes with a ton of energy, impressive endurance, and a smart head on her shoulders when it comes to the strategy of the game. After coming off of a State Title at Skutt, Benjamin will be back with her Yutan program to finish off her high school career in the C2 Class. Benjamin should make easy work on this Class and most of the matchups she will face but we will see. If she does help Yutan make a big run, who knows who might come knocking with interest before everything is said and done.

[player_tooltip player_id='820523' first='Elie' last='Bstandig'] has been a constant for the past few seasons at Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer and I don't expect that to change for her last go-around. Bstandig is her team's source in the middle. She is the hooper that they look to get all the action too when she has a smaller defender on her and she is the player that controls the middle of the lane on defense a majority of the time as well. No matter where Bstandig is, she has proven over the past few seasons that she is going to put up numbers for her team the best she can given the situation and that is something we can all respect.

I don't think people realize the impact that [player_tooltip player_id='1180573' first='Aspen' last='Billeter'] made last Winter on her Southwest High School varsity team. In several contests as a Freshman, Billeter racked up multiple showings where she was unconscious from behind the three point line off the catch and shoot. When you watch SHS compete, you can tell that they know their personal. Billeter had set's built for her to get an open three pointer's all Winter long. It's not something they were trying to hide. Whenever they faced a zone, Billeter would show out as a sniper from deep all the time and it was noteworthy. If she has built on that ability this off-season, she should put up even more impressive numbers over the next 6-8 months.

I would anticipate that Milford High School will have a good chance to make it to the State Tournament for their Class this Winter. They return one of the tallest and most athletic players in the entire state, they have other underclassmen with impressive skill-sets at the guard position, and they are coming off of a respectable season a Winter ago. One of these underclassmen, who is going to be someone we hear about for years to come at the varsity level is [player_tooltip player_id='1044997' first='Abby' last='Crabtree']. Crabtree showed out last Winter as a big-name player throughout the State. I received multiple texts from parents while she was competing and they all said the same thing. "Crabtree is a star." When you pair that as a pass first PG, with the rest of the pieces they have, it's not crazy to think this group makes it to State a few times over the next couple of years.

Gretna High School will look to make some waves once again this season with their quick play-style, high end execution, and tenacity on both ends of the floor. At their PG spot, [player_tooltip player_id='647869' first='Maggie' last='Miller'] will take the floor for one last time as she tries to help the cause in anyway possible. Miller is a pass-first PG with the ability to adapt to any given situation. Sometimes she has to prove that she can handle pressure and get a bucket herself while going to the basket but that is not a problem from my accounts. A team's system is only as good as the leader leading it and Miller is that leader. If she stays mentally locked in and keeps everyone on task this Fall, it's going to be interesting to see what they put together over this next season.
