The Blueprint Camp Prospects Who Deserve More Attention

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Over this past weekend, elite talent from the Pacific Northwest attended Beth Mounshot's training camp, The Blueprint. This 2-day event hosted roughly 35 female basketball players, grades 7-12. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The camp was taught at Sanders Court in Sherwood, Oregon. Expert coaches from around the country, such as Tevin Juwan Brown, Tierra Ruffin Pratt, and Andrea Garner, were in attendance. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Some core concepts they focused on were advanced skill development, high-IQ-level decision-making tactics, and competitive live play. She's highly skilled and talented in soccer, basketball, and track. This past summer, she's been competing with her club team, FBC. She's attended team camps at various universities, as well as events like the University of Oregon elite camp and The Blueprint. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Jada stands out in any event she attends by her hard work ethic and her high competitive level of play. She's a natural leader out on the court and an elite defender. She has good size at 5'10”. A strong combo guard who can shoot off the dribble quickly and sees the floor well when setting up plays. <br>When interviewed about her experience at The Blueprint, Jada said her favorite part was getting to know new people and receiving great advice from coaches. She said that the skill development techniques she learned will help her get better and become more successful in the future. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">For this upcoming season, some things Jada plans to work on are being more efficient in all areas, such as steals, rebounds, assists, and scoring. She said she loves basketball because it is a way to express herself in an environment where she can try new things and learn with her peers. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Whether she's winning a 100-meter dash race on the track, or dribbling a basketball and/or soccer ball, one things for certain, Jada is certainly working hard and competing on many levels. If Jada could go anywhere to play in college, her dream program would be the University of North Carolina. Her strengths are her defense and her ability to read the floor well and make good decisions during plays. When interviewed about why she loves basketball, she says because it's given her so much, and it's incredibly challenging. Basketball pushes her to grow, not just as an athlete, but as a person.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This coming season, Jaiden wants to get better at being more confident and be a great senior leader for her team, because it's her last year at Benson. Her strengths are being able to communicate well and the ability to set up her teammates on the court. She's a knockdown shooter and can score under pressure. She's a hard worker and is helpful by being patient with her passing, cutting, and ability to set good screens. She's been working hard during the offseason at camps like SEI, Queen of the Court, and The Blueprint. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">JaNyah said her favorite part about this past weekend's camp was how it gave her a chance to compete against talented players from all around Oregon. Her dream program of choice would be USC. Be on the lookout for this standout sophomore from Jefferson. Her strengths are being able to read the defense and see the floor really well to create plays for her teammates. She has good size at 5'9” and is a strong shooter that's not afraid of making contact while attacking the hoop.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Her favorite part about The Blueprint this past weekend was how positive all the coaches and players were. She was in attendance with quite a few teammates from Sherwood, but liked that she made new friends, too, from around Oregon by attending camp. <br><br>This coming season, Audrey plans to work on improving her confidence while shooting. She loves basketball because playing allows her to just focus on having fun. She would love to play for any college program. Her strengths as a basketball player are her shooting abilities and getting her shot off quickly. She has great court vision and the ability to find her teammates and create plays. She prides herself on being confident and a good communicator on defense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Her favorite part about The Blueprint camp was the energy in the gym and how encouraging and kind all of the girls were. She also loved hearing the coach's great advice, and she can't wait to take what she learned and apply it to her gameplay this upcoming season. <br><br>Some things she wants to get better at this year are her leadership skills and her shooting consistency out on the court. When asking Tatum why she loves basketball? She said it has given her the most confidence in herself, and it's something she can look forward to every day. She loves the community it has provided her. Tatum said that basketball has allowed her to build relationships that she wouldn't be able to find anywhere else. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tatum's dream is to go on to the next level and play college basketball. She hopes to get the opportunity after she graduates from Clackamas. Her strengths in basketball are her high level of IQ on the court. She knows when to make the right pass and when to cut to the basket. With her taller size, she's good at rebounding. She's a knockout clutch shooter and this athlete has quite the range. She is very versatile on the floor. She can dribble the length of the floor and also post up her opponents. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Her favorite thing about The Blueprint camp was meeting new players that she had never met before. She enjoyed playing with different levels of skilled players. Journey loves basketball because it has brought her so many new friendships. She plans to improve her confidence while driving to the hoop and strengthen her ball-handling skills. Her dream college programs are the University of Oregon and the University of Southern California.
