This upcoming season, there are going to be a lot of roster changes throughout the state. Granted, each year we do graduate a new senior class; however, this year, a lot of state titles are up for grabs in women's basketball. Let's just say parity will be amongst all classifications, and with that, different kids will have the opportunity to step up and help their ballclub toward state contention.

This season is filled with many storylines that we will touch on at a later date. For example, will Bradley Central four-peat? Will CPA make a run for state? Whose the team to beat in the west? These are just a few questions that linger out there for all to ponder. Like I said, we will touch on some of those questions down the road. With that being said, some players come to mind that will play pivotal roles this upcoming season. They've earned it. It's their turn. Ect. There are 20+ players who will be playing significant parts for their clubs this year as they look to make a title run.

This young lady will play an impactful role for the Lady Mustangs ball club. Blessed with size and the ability to cause mismatches, she can stretch the floor as well as finish inside the arc. Her 3-ball has gotten more consistent, but her mid-range game and ability to finish around the rim have been calling her. The Lady Mustangs will look for her to not only help on the offensive side of the ball, but also carry her weight on the defensive end as well. Rebounding, blocking shots, and other defensive efforts will aid in capturing a win as Lipscomb looks to return to state contention. Keep your eyes on this young lady, because she is primed and ready for a breakout year.

This young lady crosses state lines and will look to help the Lady Feet out this year. She is a scoring threat from multiple levels as well as a tough defender. She hails from Alabama, where she caused problems every time she stepped onto the floor. Blessed with speed, amazing court vision, and a great feel for the game, she will look to be a solid addition to a talented ball club.

A kid who plays with a motor and can do it all on both ends of the floor. Offensively, she can score the basketball from multiple spots on the floor. However, it's her defense that causes fits for opponents. She's lanky, has quick feet, and brings toughness to the floor. She will be looked upon to steer the Lady Burros towards state contention. Had a great summer and will look to bring that momentum into the new school ball season.

Big wing looks to bring her talents to Bell Rd. This young lady can stretch the floor, but getting it done inside the arc will be her calling card. I love her ability to rebound the basketball, block shots, and cause headaches on the defensive end. Plays with speed, power, and the will to shut down whoever she is guarding. Her game speaks volumes, and I expect her to turn up and show out as the Lady Eagles look to do work this upcoming season.

This young lady will be a solid piece to a young Lady Raiders ball club. She exploits the painted area, elbows, and short corners. She can dial it up from deep occasionally, but inside is where she thrives. Had a great second half of the summer where she gained confidence and created a buzz for herself. This kid is long, competes, and just gets after it. Solid in the screen game, look for her to carve out some valuable minutes as the Lady Raiders push towards the upper echelon of the district.
