The 2025-26 season will start in three months, which will arrive sooner than we could imagine. Today, I want to highlight players whom I'm eager to watch in the upcoming season for various reasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='751281' first='Rita' last='Kuepper']

The Hartford guard will walk into her junior season as the number one name on opposing scouting reports for the first time. Kuepper has been a player who has stepped up in the highest-profile games she's ever played in, and I don't think that will change in her junior season. I feel people know that she can play at this point, but this season could be one where Kuepper takes another step forward and becomes a unanimous all-state caliber player.

[player_tooltip player_id='914983' first='Beanie' last='Thompson']

Thompson has played in two state title games in her first two seasons, and barring any unforeseen circumstances, there is a strong possibility that she plays in a third title game this season. Thompson does a little of everything and finds ways to help her team win games on both ends of the floor. The Edgewood wing is a versatile and productive defender who finds ways to make plays, whether she's defending in the paint or on the perimeter. Thompson is also an efficient offensive threat who can contribute to a high-octane offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='751245' first='Avery' last='Glenz']

Sneakily, Eleva-Strum had the most impressive turnaround from the 23-24 to 24-25 season. Glenz helped lead her team's offense and was a threat to take games over on the offensive end. She is an offensive hub who can score from all three levels, attack off the dribble, and create open looks for her teammates. I firmly believe that Glenz would be more known had she been playing for a larger school or a more well-known AAU program, but she is a player that scholarship programs in the region should watch. She has been trending up for about a year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1228363' first='Madeline' last='Volpe']

The Whitefish Bay guard is a hard-nosed player who will create extra possessions by chasing loose balls all over the court. Volpe has a way of making plays by flying all over the floor, which fits the identity the Blue Dukes have built over the past few seasons. Volpe has also become a reliable perimeter threat who can knock down shots from well beyond the three-point line and has shown no hesitation taking pressure-filled shots late in games over her first two high school seasons of basketball at Whitefish Bay.
