Must Watch Players in 2025-26

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 2025-26 season will start in three months, which will arrive sooner than we could imagine. Today, I want to highlight players whom I'm eager to watch in the upcoming season for various reasons.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='992501' first='Kinslee' last='Nelson']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Oshkosh West wing is a player with a high ceiling, but plenty of room to grow. From watching her over the past year, I've come to appreciate the athleticism she brings to the floor and her ability to make plays on the defensive end. She shows flashes of what she has the potential to become as a two-way threat. Few wings can do what Nelson can athletically, and that alone is something that becomes intriguing. Nelson can finish over anyone at the rim, knock down perimeter jumpers, and be an impactful player defensively. If she ever turns the corner and puts it all together, she will be among the best players in the FVA.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='992508' first='Macy' last='Stremlow']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's hard not to enjoy watching a player like Stremlow play her style of basketball. The Verona wing is a physical player who will throw herself into a crowd if it means she can chase a loose ball or attack one of the most physical players around the basket in her first season of high school basketball and be fearless. There is room to grow in her game, but anyone who plays with as much passion as Stremlow will have the tools to get the most out of herself. I wouldn't be stunned if she finds another gear every year if she wants to pursue basketball at the next level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='533082' first='Libby' last='Gilmore']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A year away from high school basketball can make people forget that Gilmore was an integral figure in Arrowhead's state title run in 2023. Her ability to defend some of the top players in the state and not allow them to beat her team by themselves, and defend on an island, is something I'll never forget. Watch her in her senior season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='533065' first='Rowan' last='Klesmit']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Klesmit has become possibly the most efficient offensive threat in Wisconsin. After losing an All-American the year before, Klesmit had her Rockets group back in Sectionals and a few games away from another state tournament, which I'm unsure how many people would've guessed heading into the season. Klesmit is a player whom I'd recommend people watching if you're able to make a trip to Neenah at some point this season, because she was unbelievable as a junior and excelled in the EYBL this summer. She exceeded any expectations she had coming into high school.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
