Potential Difference-Makers Within Their Program This Winter

Here we have five players in Iowa that are going to have a chance to make a difference this Winter with their respective Varsity programs. They have all shown promise with solid numbers in the past, now it's just about replicating and building on that moving forward.   Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!    We have heard more and more about [player_tooltip player_id='1223622' first='Lily' last='Barker'] from CR - Washington over the past couple of months. Barker is a SG with solid coordination, balance, touch on the ball, smarts, and shooting stroke. She is someone that can knock down shots off the catch or she can be active by screening away and helping the others around her game open. As of most recently, Barker has been receiving interest from the collegiate level to continue on following this Winter. I'm not sure if that will be her path in life but she is definitely someone that is going to make an impact this year off the ball with her team's crafty D2 - PG, Sam Becker.     Springville is going to once again play though their D1 - Post player but someone who is in charge of making sure she gets the ball in opportune positions is Guard - [player_tooltip player_id='896422' first='Addison' last='Merritt']. Merritt has posted respectable numbers every year up until this point but she is looking to make a statement as a Junior. She is ready to show that following this Winter, she could be the top dawg if she stays locked in and dedicated to the process. Two things that are both possible at this point in the game. Springville will have chance to make the State Tournament once again over the next eight months. If they play their cards right and keep it simple, you better watch out.     West Hancock is going to look to put together a better season than year's past with perseverance, dedication, and preparation in the boat loads. Someone for this team, who should put up some nice stat-lines as the a Senior is SG - [player_tooltip player_id='1222448' first='Meara' last='Kudej']. Kudej is a smaller guard but she holds her own with fast play, a quick handle, and a smart head on her shoulders. She understands when it's her time to look for a bucket compared to creating for others and she never seems to force unneeded attempts from the wing position. If all parties come correct over the next 2-3 months, West Hancock should show steady progression but we will just have to wait and see.     It's time for [player_tooltip player_id='880904' first='Ellie' last='Sievers'] to take over within her Newell-Fonda program. Sievers has been a standout ever since she was a middle school prospect and she solidified that while coming in last year as a Freshman. Sievers is going to be one of their two extremely impressive guards this Winter and moving into the future. Ellie should put up over 20 PPG, while also averaging high numbers in Assists, Rebounds, and Steals. She is one of the most skilled players that the 1A Class has in Iowa at this time and that's going to be evident for everyone paying attention from afar.     [player_tooltip player_id='1245077' first='Avrie' last='Fagan'] led her varsity team last Winter from the SG position in a few different positive statistical categories. She averaged just over 17.5 PPG, 4 RPG, and 3 AGP from the perimeter while being a heck of a teammate to those around her. Fagan not only does a great job of making a difference with her numbers, she does it with her presence as well. She has a great attitude and she is someone that all her teammates enjoy being around just in general. All in all, Fagan is a solid prospect, who is going to be able to look back to her high school career as a productive one. Something I'm sure she will be proud of!
