[player_tooltip player_id='880913' first='Kelli' last='Kalb'] of Johnson High School posted at 63.7 eFG% last Winter as a Freshman to help her team to a 5A Title. Kalb is a standout SG with length at 5'11. She is solid enough to be able to handle, rebound, and defend at a thorough rate as well but she jumps off the screen with her scoring ability from deep. Kalb finished up last Winter within the Top 10 of the entire state of Iowa in this category, no matter age or Class level. I expect a little bit of a drop this year but that's solely on the reasoning that she will be taking more attempts. Most likely a lot more. If she plays to her full capabilities though, she is sure to put up another memorable season. There is no doubt about that.

[player_tooltip player_id='1117190' first='Ava' last='Carlson'] might not of had the most attempts last year when it comes to this subject but she did a great job of converting near the bucket whenever those opportunities presented themselves. Carlson took just over 100 attempts on the season in total, converting over 60 of those at the SF/CG position. This Winter Carlson will be tasked with a little more responsibility but she should be prepared for the challenge. Their group will have a lot of the same pieces so it should be familiar territory if they play their cards right.

It seems like every Winter Sioux Center High School gets another talented group of ballers at a few different positions around the floor. Last Winter it was 2028 - [player_tooltip player_id='1209839' first='Amirah' last='Bleeker']. Bleeker came in as a 5'8 Freshman and did a great job of being a consistent producer for her varsity squad. Bleeker mainly shot the ball from beyond the arc, shooting 89 of 99 attempts from three. I'm sure that she will have a little more say within her team's overall system this time around but her best ability is letting it fly so hopefully they don't get too far away from that concept.

You can't touch on this topic without speaking on the shooting and converting ability on offense of [player_tooltip player_id='509225' first='Averie' last='Lower']. Lower is coming off of one of the best AAU seasons in the Country as it pertains to shooting the basketball for her North Tartan 17U EYBL program. Lower switched programs moving into the Spring of this year and it was the best thing that could have happened to her. She made the most of her situation and it paid off. Now she will return this Winter at CCA as the state's best deep threat with a lot of interest looking towards the future. Not a bad situation to be in at all.

I am expecting another impactful season from [player_tooltip player_id='1160666' first='Josie' last='Hutcheson'] of Mediapolis High School over thee next eight months. Hutcheson, a 5'8 CG, shot a 65 eFG% last Winter on over 225+ attempts. This ranked within the Top 10 in the State at #8. When you see these types of numbers from a guard, you know that they can play and produce when they need too. It's not a matter how, it's a matter of when. If they want to score, they are going too. That's how Hutcheson competes and how she will continue to compete until graduation in 24 months.
