With August preparing to transition to September, this means that there will soon only be two full months remaining prior to the tip-off of the 2025-26 season.

Sports-wise, girls' golf, girls tennis and volleyball have already began their respective seasons and football kicks off this weekend. November will be here before we know it.

Prior to those November tip-off dates, there are still plenty of showcase events to take place – including next month's Prep Girls Hoops Carolinas Freshman Showcase and Expo in Rock Hill. Also, there is still plenty of news happening on the recruiting trail. Without further ado, here is the latest on who is offering who.

One of the premier 2026s throughout the Palmetto State appears to be closing in on a commitment decision. Rush has narrowed her list down to the last four. That collegiate quintet includes Appalachian State, East Carolina, Marshall and Elon. She has planned final visits to all four remaining suitors. Rush recently played her final AAU season with [program_tooltip program_id='783909' first='Palmetto' last='76ers/A'ja Wilson Elite']. She made headlines during the offseason by announcing she would transfer from First Baptist – last season's SCISA 4A runners-up – to 5A Division 1 Wando. In 32 games last season for the Hurricanes, Rush averaged 12.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 1.2 blocks per game and similar numbers for the Warriors will ensure Wando will once again be a state contender among 5A Division 1 schools.

Shaw was one of many who turned in an impressive performance at the inaugural Passion Driven Showcase at Florence's Pearl Moore Center. She recently was rewarded in the form of offers from USC-Salkehatchie and UNC-Pembroke. Shaw recently competed in her final AAU season with [program_tooltip program_id='1238615' first='One' last='Force Academy'] and her career has included competing in softball alongside what she does as a basketball player. Last season with 2A Kingstree, she played in 28 games while averaging a double-double of 18.6 points and 11.8 rebounds in addition to 3.4 steals and 3.1 blocks per contest.

Speaking of multi-sport athletes, the talented standout from 1A McBee has certainly competed in plenty of them – including volleyball and track and field events. House was another of the standout talents from the inaugural Passion Driven Showcase at the Pearl Moore Center in Florence. She landed offers from Morris College as well as USC-Salkehatchie. She also recently completed her final club season where she ran with SC Future and adds the two most recent offers to one she landed from Voorhees. House averaged a double-double of 19.9 points and 14.9 rebounds plus five blocks and 4.2 steals last season.

As was the case with Shaw and House, Foley was also in attendance two weeks ago at the Passion Driven Showcase and displayed exactly why she has already landed collegiate offers. UNC-Pembroke was the latest school to extend an offer in Foley's direction. She may have been one of the taller prospects on hand in Florence, but what had to get the attention of the many collegiate coaches on hand was her versatility. Following her competing on the grassroots circuit over the last few months with FBC Reign, Foley looks ahead to the 2025-26 season where 5A Division 1 Ashley Ridge looks to continue its winning ways.

Here is a recruiting update that should have been in our most recent notebook. A bit less than two weeks ago, Moore announced that she had received an offer from Wingate. Following a 2025 club season where she ran with [program_tooltip program_id='1231019' first='Upward' last='Stars 3SSB'], Moore has what should be an exciting 2025-26 season with 5A Division 1 Dorman to look forward to. Last season, Moore wore Cavaliers colors in 23 of the team's 28 games. She averaged 11.9 points, 5.2 assists, four steals and 3.2 rebounds. Moore led the team in steals and assists in 2024-25 and was third among Cavaliers in scoring. Expect Dorman to once again be among the 5A Division 1 contenders in 2025-26.

A few weeks ago, the standout senior from Fountain Inn landed an offer from Newberry College and coach Johnette Walker who understands in-state recruiting better than most. Last season saw the Fury move up from 3A to 4A. The 7.8 points, four rebounds and 1.4 steals Brown averaged in 24 games helped Fountain Inn to a 17-8 record plus a 7-3 region mark. Brown was the second-leading scorer, rebounder and assist-getter on last season's Fury squad. Fountain Inn graduated five seniors from last season's team, meaning one can expect Brown – who played with [program_tooltip program_id='1248511' first='Amp' last='Elite'] on the AAU circuit – to be an important focal point of the Fury's efforts to remain 4A contenders.
