One of those commitment announcements occurred via one of the Lowcountry's premier bigs. Braddick made her collegiate decision – and the announcement was she will stay in state to play at Clemson. She had plenty of interest – including from Presbyterian, Gardner-Webb, Hampton, West Georgia, Elon and East Carolina. She has not only played basketball throughout her athletic career, but also softball. One of the premier bigs in the state who can make plays on both ends of the floor, Braddick's 7.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game she averaged were key in getting First Baptist to last season's SCISA 4A championship game.

A commitment announcement also occurred by way of the Upstate. Helmer, a talented standout from 3A St. Joseph's Catholic will be staying in said Upstate to join the volleyball program at Furman. Her Knights basketball team last season advanced to the 3A Upper State championship game. Hoops-wise, she has proudly worn St. Joseph's Catholic's signature blue since she was in the seventh grade. The 13.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.3 steals per game were key in the deep run the Knights made as they made the jump from 1A to 3A last season. On the volleyball court, Helmer plays as a libero.

Speaking of St. Joseph's Catholic, Adams also was a key piece to the 3A Knights' winning puzzle in 2024-25. Adams also secured an in-state Division I offer as Wofford has her on its radar. She played up in class with [program_tooltip program_id='715412' first='SC' last='Eagles'] UA Rise 17U which was one of the teams that was part of the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit. Adams is one of the premier 3-point specialists in the Palmetto State. Having played at the varsity level since the seventh grade, she has a bit more experience than the average sophomore. Adams averaged 12.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and two steals a contest last season and similar – or even better – numbers will once again establish St. Joseph's Catholic as a team to be reckoned with among the 3A field.

Another of the premier frontcourt forces in the Palmetto State, the Division I offers are continuing to pour in Hartwell's way. The latest of said offers was courtesy of UCF and its coach Walter Pitts. Hartwell first played at the varsity level as an eighth grader and one can see how she has blossomed into a top-tier prospect. She played in 26 games last season for 4A Westside and averaged a double-double of 15.2 points and 10.5 rebounds in addition to 2.5 blocks per contest. Last season's Rams team advanced to the 4A state championship game and her team will be a favorite among many to return to that point given the successful offseason Westside experienced.

The performance Evans turned in at the beginning of the month at the CGHR Da Future Showcase continued to solidify why she is one of the leaders of the state's robust youth movement. Evans has had no shortage of Division I offers lately and her latest get occurred courtesy of Wake Forest and coach Megan Gebbia. Furman, Cincinnati, Auburn and George Mason have also offered her. Evans was also one of four from the Carolinas to receive an invite to the Blue Star 30 camp in St. Louis. Last season with 5A Division 1 Byrnes, her 14 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.4 steals she averaged lifted the Rebels to a 19-9 record and she is coming off an AAU season where she played well up in class with AEBL Girlz P24 16U.

Walker has also seen a fair share of offers arrive in her direction. The 2027 star for another of South Carolina's premier 4A teams in North Augusta secured her latest offer from Elon and its coach Charlotte Smith. She adds that offer to previous ones she received from South Carolina State, Georgia Southern, Furman, UNC-Wilmington and North Carolina A&T. Walker is a two-time state champion with the Yellow Jackets and the 12.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.7 steals she averaged last season were an important element in allowing North Augusta to add to its already extensive trophy case.

Hailstock has certainly experienced in uptick in her recruitment activity over the past several weeks. Last month, she secured an in-state offer from Lander. This month, Hailstock landed a second in-state get from Presbyterian as well as one from right across the state line at Wingate. Her play has been a key factor in re-establishing 5A Division 1 J.L. Mann as one of the teams to beat across the Palmetto State. Hailstock's Patriots have been an Upper State finalist the last two seasons. Last season – en route to a 20-7 record (including a perfect 14-for-14 in region), Hailstock averaged 15.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.4 steals a contest.

We move a bit further south in the Upstate to Greenwood – 5A Division 2 Upper State champions from last season. Oliver landed her latest offer from Montreat and its coach Jamie Moore. Oliver is more the point guard among the Eagles' twin sister act. She is coming off playing her final AAU season with FBC Next Up Lady Wolves. Standing at 5-foot-5, Oliver averaged 9.2 points, 4.6 assists, four rebounds and 3.5 steals in the 28 games she played last season. Greenwood had a successful offseason that is sure to continue the heightened expectations on Cokesbury Road.

This Oliver sister is more the shooting and combo guard of the Oliver twin sister act and she also received an offer from Montreat. This means that in recent weeks, coach Jamie Moore has offered the Oliver twin sisters from Greenwood and the Chambliss twin sisters from 5A Division 1 Clover. Oliver was also part of FBC Next Up Lady Wolves for her final AAU season and played in 28 games last season for the 5A Division 2 Upper State champion Eagles. She averaged 21.5 points, five assists, 4.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 2024-25 for Greenwood. Both Olivers have also played soccer throughout their athletic careers.

Speaking of notable names to receive an offer from Montreat, that distinction also applies to Tifre who was one of the marquee transfers of the 2025 offseason. Tifre played her final grassroots season with [program_tooltip program_id='903656' first='Lady' last='TUSC'] and recently turned in an impressive performance in Florence at the inaugural Passion Driven Showcase at the Pearl Moore Center. Entering her second stint with 5A Division 1 River Bluff, Tifre averaged a double-double of 12 points, 10.9 rebounds and 3.6 steals last season for a SCISA 4A Northside Christian team that concluded last season with a 23-3 record. One can expect the Gators to be contenders from start to finish in 2025-26 with the additions they made.

Two months ago, the rising sophomore star at 3A Keenan landed an in-state offer from Newberry College. Lee-Sutton recently secured a second in-state get from Presbyterian and head coach Tiffany Sardin. The Raiders made the move from 2A back to 3A and Lee-Sutton's play led Keenan to a 19-7 record plus a perfect 8-0 mark in its region. A Lower State semifinal berth was also in the cards for the Raiders and coach Reggie McLain who was recently inducted into the South Carolina Sports Hall of Fame. Lee-Sutton spent the spring and summer running with FBC United The Family GUAA.

We meant to mention this offer in one of our earlier updates, but a collegiate offer was extended in the direction of a standout senior from 2A Timberland. Early last month, Prioleau secured an offer from Denmark Tech and its coach Javon Gilliard. Prioleau led the Wolves to a 15-11 record and a 9-2 mark in Region 6-AA last season. She is used to wearing green uniforms as she also wore the green SC Future 17U uniform for her final go-round through the AAU realm. In 2024-25, Prioleau led Timberland in points and assists, averaging 14.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.8 steals in the 23 games she wore Wolves green and orange.
