Southeast Polk will be looking for production from all Class levels over the next few years on the Varsity floor. Someone who should have a good-go at it is [player_tooltip player_id='835415' first='Presley' last='Zeutenhorst'] at the SG/CG position. Zuetenhorst has a better than average touch on the ball, situational awareness, all paired with a high-end work ethic. There aren't too many out there that outwork PZ. She knows to make the most out of the opportunities she is given and I think we will see that a lot over the next 6-8 months. This is a program that will rely on their guard-play with their star PF/C out due to injury over the next eight months, so there will be opportunities for others to make their mark and I think PZ is in that conversation.

Norwalk is a 4A program that will put up some impressive numbers over the next few months as they look to make it back to the Iowa State Tournament. Someone of this group, that really is their life-force in a lot of ways is [player_tooltip player_id='800257' first='Payton' last='Travis']. Travis comes in at 5'8 with noteworthy athletic ability. Other than that, this is someone that can really do whatever is being asked of her in moderation. She might not be able to stick with a 6'3 Center on defense but she can do just about everything else. This is what we would called a, "glue girl". A hooper that will do anything to keep her squad together. Doesn't matter what the task is at hand is. If Travis can help, she will and that speaks volumes.

[player_tooltip player_id='881974' first='Emma' last='Zabel'] will be the system for East Buchanan High School moving forward. That's easy to say when Zabel comes into this Winter as one of the tallest prospects in the state between 6'2-6'3. Other than just being tall, Zabel understands her role. She knows that she makes her money in- between the blocks for her team on both sides of the ball. Now it's just about building on what this group put in place over the past two years. Zabel has been a Varsity producer ever since she took the floor as a Freshman and I don't think that is going to change anytime soon.

[player_tooltip player_id='1201885' first='Ava' last='Casey'] is going to be looked upon to be the ring leader for her IC - Liberty High School team this upcoming Winter season as the starting PG. Casey showed glimpses last season of being the one who will take over the lead PG spot moving forward so it'll either be just her or they will run a system with two starting PG's basically at the 1 and the 2 spot. Casey has good wherewithal on the Varsity floor. She doesn't get pressured or rushed while handling and she is always an orchestrator to those around her at a steady rate. This would be someone that I would describe as a Pass-First type PG but she can also get her own when a play might break down and defensive - she holds her own. IC - Liberty will return most players from years past so as long as they keep the main thing, the main thing, who knows how far they will take things at the end of the day.

CR - Jefferson is going to have a new system with a new coaching staff but the something that won't be new is that this system is going to operate around [player_tooltip player_id='642075' first='Lillie' last='Spicer'] in the middle of the point. Spicer is a 6'0 PF, that currently holds an over to compete at UNI following her high school career. Spicer controls the paint. She is a force on both sides of the court to be reckoned with. She can be your main threat as an offensive weapon underneath and she can be your defensive stopper in the middle of the lane as well. All in all, there is a lot to like about this one and she is only going to get better with experience.
