Holding onto the #1 spot in this Update is [player_tooltip player_id='777232' first='Melina' last='Snoozy'] of Bishop Heelan High School. Snoozy is a 5'11 CG with a flame-thrower for an arm when it comes to shooting the ball. She moves extremely well for her size in both half-court and full-court situations, while being a solid defender at the same time. At this point in her career, this is someone that is going to have 20-30 Power4 offers prior to her commitment on this pace. All of that doesn't matter too much though. Her BH team will be the favorites to win the 4A State Title this Winter and that's what everyone is locked in on. If everyone else plays their role and Snoozy does her thing, they will be hoisting that trophy before you know it.

The future possibilities that [player_tooltip player_id='777225' first='Katie' last='Muller'] brings to the hardwood is the reason she is so interesting as a prospect moving into her Junior season at Dowling Catholic. Muller is a lethal shooter from deep standing at 6'2. That's a combination that you don't see too often. I have a feeling that this is someone who is going to have a lot of incoming interest from the college ranks over the next twelve months. She is going to have to show her leadership this Winter with her sister and that will help her display what she is really capable of. If she can capitalize in some meaningful moments, who knows what the future could hold for her.

With steady improvement, the most well rounded PG out of this 2027 Class is [player_tooltip player_id='777233' first='Romey' last='Croatt'] and she holds a few D1 offers at this time. Croatt recently received an offer from D1 UCSB to compete out in Cali following her high school career. With the season that Waukee NW should have ahead, I'm expect this roster to receive a few more D1 offers as a whole before we get to the 2025-2026 State Tournament. The Wolves are poised to make a big push in the 5A Class with who they will return. Croatt is a born leader at the PG spot so as long as she takes care of business, I'm expecting they will see a lot of success as a group moving forward. Which will lead to a lot of individual success in everyone's own Basketball Journey as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='644557' first='Ari' last='Phillips'] is going to be able to answer a lot of questions that recruiters might have this Winter season with the Johnston Dragons. The Dragons are coming off of back2back undefeated seasons but this time around, they will need to rely on their Elite Guard play. Phillips will be next to Kinnetz and Lewis, looking to control tempo and the outcome of each contest ultimately. Phillips is a consistent contributor when she is confident. She was the focal point in the 5A State Title contest last Winter, helping her team seal the deal in the second half to bring home a Championship. To follow that up can be difficult but it's do-able when you consider who we are talking about.

[player_tooltip player_id='502096' first='KeaOnna' last='Worley'] just took a visit to UNI after receiving an offer from the Panthers this past AAU season. Worley is a smooth operator that makes everything seem really easy. She floats with the ball off the dribble and she is really good at creating for others around her when attacking the teeth of the defense. Worley is going to have to step up this Winter if her team wants to make it back to the State Tournament. They will return most of the same from a year ago but now she is going to be an upperclassmen that will be looked upon to lead. She had that same responsibility last Winter and she succeeded so now it will be expected. If she takes control of impactful opportunities, CR Prairie is going to like where it will take them.
