I took a breather after the Freshman Showcase a few weeks ago. We had ten straight days of content from that event, highlighting every player who was signed up before the event. We also have another sizeable event coming up this weekend, being The Expo. Today, I'd like to continue highlighting a few players I'd like to spotlight before the event, as I'm traveling for a few open gyms around the state this week.

[player_tooltip player_id='888035' first='Jacela' last='Fields']

I'm a massive fan of what Fields can bring to the floor, and believe she has a higher ceiling than she may think. Fields can handle the ball well and create for herself and others. She is also a very intuitive player who seems to learn from mistakes quickly, which I love about her. I also think she is a consistent offensive game away from becoming a player who takes her La Follette team to another level. I'm a fan of hers and am eager to see the steps she takes over the next few years.

Taccari Hicks

The Racine native is a player who can handle the offensive load as the main focus of her team's offense. Hicks doesn't seem to get gassed and is willing to put her head down and attack the basket whenever she gets the opportunity. She puts pressure on opposing defenses when she's on the floor, and will improve at the next level with more talent around her. She may not be a premier name in her class, but she could have a solid college career after graduation.

[player_tooltip player_id='1220853' first='Paige' last='Lisowski']

The sophomore guard at Whitehall is a skilled player who can make plays with the ball in her hands. She is a player who can score at all three levels on the offensive end of the floor and can create for others. Lisowski doesn't attend a traditional program around one of the cities in our state, but she's someone who scholarship programs should consider learning about over the next twelve months.

[player_tooltip player_id='992495' first='Gabriella' last='Pritchard']

The Franklin native is a high-IQ player who can make the best out of any situation she plays in. Only someone like Pritchard could play at a school like Franklin, who was a freshly off a state tournament, lose most of their rotational players, and find a way to help the Sabers to a second-weekend appearance and a Regional title. She is a competitive kid who has the leadership skills to help her team win games wherever she plays.
