Kaytee Irons is one of the most skilled prospects that we have in the building today for this event and she has started things off on the right note. Irons understands her own size, ability, and what works where in any given situation. Something that is very hard to teach is the mental side of the game of basketball but that's never been the case with Irons. Instead, she is always mentally on point and we see that already today. She knows where to put the ball on the backboard against bigger defenders so it won't get tipped, she knows where her spots are at to be the most efficient she can possibly be, and she knows how to be productive without having to control the ball physically at all times. All in all, great start before we get up and down the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='865335' first='Kamryn' last='Scott'] might have been a late add for this event but she is already impacting the game in multiple ways out on the floor. We have mostly guards at this event and these guards can really play yet Scott still stands out as one of the best so far as an overall competitor. She is a true pass-first PG, that can also move off of the ball to be her team's main scoring threat if need be. With the current matchup's she has had, she is thriving as a passer and a producer. Just like she did last year at Alma and just like she will continue to do this upcoming Winter season within that program.

I've been saying it for years, [player_tooltip player_id='1044837' first='Leslie' last='Garcia'] is going to be a STEAL for someone at the college level. (An INSANELY talented steal.) Garcia is a 2027 prospect with size, skill, knowledge of the game, discipline, and everything in-between. She is a three level scorer of the rock on offense, while being big enough to be able to switch onto multiple positions defensively as well at 5'11/6'0. The reality is that Garcia should have been a Varsity starter for years now and she just didn't get that chance for whichever reason but that should change this upcoming Winter when she competes for a new program in Lincoln Southeast. If she plays to her full capabilities over the next two Winter seasons, I have no doubt in my mind she will be on a collegiate roster following high school graduation.

This is one of the first times that I've had the chance to see [player_tooltip player_id='1315421' first='Lily' last='Hansmeier'] compete live and she impressed. Hansmeier could be someone that gets Varsity time this Winter at Standing Bear - depending on their returning roster with who else they bring in with their 2029 Class. Hansmeier has a great feel for the game, she keeps her eyes up and attentive at all times, and she seems extremely self-less. Not to mention, she is dedicated to the craft. She has great energy and that helps her really standout as a dominate leader in whatever she is doing. When you combined that all together, you get someone who can produce on a few different levels so it'll definitely be interesting how things play out from here but I'm excited to see it first hand.
