2026 Rankings Update - All-Conference Talent

Here are 10 players with All-Conference ability.    The Glenburn Panthers have a superstar in [player_tooltip player_id='493728' first='Emma' last='Jones']. She seems to glide on the court and looks superior in athletic ability compared to everyone else on the floor. She has super long arms which is a huge advantage defensively. She moves her feet and defends posts with ease. I like her offensive game. It has an 'old school' feel to it as she just always finds a way to put the ball in the bucket.     Knutson is a hungry senior and has won a ton of games the last few years. She was selected to the All-WDA team last season, one of four Majette's to do so. With injured [player_tooltip player_id='245114' first='Maggie' last='Fricke'] returning, it might be a stretch to get 5 all-conference players, but Knutson is certainly worthy of consideration. I remember a talented Devils Lake team that had all five starters selected to the all-region team after going undefeated in the regular season, so it's possible. She has a sweet shot and spaces the floor really well. She is also a tough, gritty defender.     Kadyn is a really good point guard for Our Redeemer's. She is incredibly quick and plays bigger than her 5'3 height. She is fearless on the floor and isn't fazed by opposing team's press defenses. I like her change of speed and direction with the ball as well as her ability to get better passing angles with her retreat dribble. Kadyn is a high quality player and should be a lock for All-Region.     LLM had an unbelievable season last year and DelaBarre was a big reason why. She is back for her senior year and excited at another opportunity to lead her team to the state tournament. Norah is an impressive athlete on the floor and is stronger than most opponents. She is able to get to the basket and has a really soft touch around the rim. She does a great job of getting to the free-throw line.     Walker is an All-Region and All-State talent for Killdeer. She has been under the radar because it has been difficult for me to find film on her team. She is a scoring machine and the main option for her team. She has good size at 6' and is nimble on her feet. She has good footwork around the basket and is able to slip past defenders for layups. She has a good shot and excels in the mid-post.     Ystaas is a really good basketball player. She looks so much more athletic than nearly every other girl on the floor. She runs up and down in transition and beats opponents for easy baskets. She has a really quick first step and can blow by defenders. She is really tough going to her strong hand and can finish through contact and get to the free-throw line where she is a really good free-throw shooter. Logen should easily find herself once again on the All-Region team this season.     Brown has been a name that the Devils Lake community has known for many years. Presley fits right into DL's signature full-court press game. She is an exceptional athlete and helps create havoc defensively. These deflections and steals are one of the main ways that the Firebirds score. I think Presley is able to take the next step this season and become more of a scoring threat. Look for big things from the talented forward.     Keene was selected to the All-EDC team last season and is likely a lock to make that list this season as well. She has received some college basketball looks but might end up playing college golf instead (she is an All-State golfer and state champion). Zoe plays with a calm demeaner on the court and is a great facilitator. She hardly makes mental mistakes and has a really nice looking shot. Zoe is a great player and will need to play well for Sheyenne to make a return to the state tournament in 25-26.     I really like how Remz plays. Her effort and enthusiasm on the floor show how coachable she is. Kent Ripplinger does an outstanding job of preparing his team to play and Reese is his best player on this year's squad. Reese is one of the fastest and quickest players in the state. She blazes up the court and is really good in Red River's 2-2-1 press. She led the EDC last season in steals and assists. She is an all-conference lock this season.     The Hi-Liners just might repeat as state champions in 2025-2026 with talented players like Potratz on their roster. Dacota is a skilled lefty with good size and strength. If I was Valley City State University, I would offer Dacota right now. It is important for smaller 4-year schools to keep local talent. She is really good defensively and can rebound with bigger girls by the basket. Dacota should be a repeat All-Region player this season.
