Summer ball offers a variety of opportunities for players to improve their game and to show off how much stronger it is. One outcome from that work is upping their recruiting stock ahead of the 2026 class' senior season. Nearly three dozen players advanced more than ten spots. Many made substantially bigger moves. Below are the top seven advancers. Each climbed more than 40 positions.

Ready is an very active, dirty work player with diverse skills. In the half court she shows the strong post-release-move-screen-cut movement that loses all but the most attentive defenders. And while her shot is a maybe a count slow she spots well in the corners and wings to knock down three balls. Ready leads transition play with speed, head up looking for the right pass. The top advancer in the update, she zoomed up 92 spots to #158.

The returning Eastern Kansas League honorable mention selection, especially with the graduation of two of the top 5 players in the state, could have a big senior year. A perimeter threat, with substantial state tournament experience, who spots and slides into position well Hinson can knock down the three ball from all around the arc. She transitions well and defends solidly in the half court. The top 6A advancer climbed 62 spots to #179.

Washington is a rising guard with quickness, hops and great closing speed in transition. With the ball she is effective with down-the-floor passes. After being named all-Sunflower League the last two seasons (2025 3rd team, 2024 honorable mention) and Sports In Kansas 6A honorable mention last season she will be one to watch make even more noise this senior season. Washington shot up the ranks 55 spots to #124.

Having shot up the ranks 53 spots to #148 Minnick is maturing into one of the top bigs in 1A D I. I wrote in June that she should be landing on the radars of many colleges due to her combination of size, athleticism and skill set. Maxpreps reports she shot 15.4 points, locked up 6.9 rebounds, gathered 2.2 assists and 2.7 steals and swatted opponents at a 1.5 per game. Including shooting 29% from three she shot 53% from the floor and 64% from the line. The all-stater is a two-time second team Northwest Kansas League selection. Her solid handles are steadily improving and, besides being a consistent perimeter threat, she is a strong interior scorer off the drive and from using multiple post moves.

I expect the University of St. Mary commit to continue tearing up opponents offensively this season. A terrific scorer with a mature jumper, she knocks down shots with bounce off the catch with jump shooting ability; the step back and dribble up. Kneisler is also a strong finisher in traffic with handling ability to create in transition and off the bounce. A Sports In Kansas first team, KBCA third team and two-time KSHSAACovered 2A all-state selection Kneisler is a lock to repeat on the Flint Hills first team. The top 2A mover jumped 44 spots into the top 100 at #82.

Baker is the returning scorer for a Grizzlies team that fell to Buhler by five points in the 4A state quarterfinals last season. She averaged 6.5 points on 49% shooting, 4.7 rebounds, .7 assists and 1.2 steals. Active defensively and scrappy rebounding she has potential to be a solid interior scoring presence if she improves her consistency on her posting-up work. She got to the line more than 80 times last season. Her points per game will take a strong jump if she can improve on the 40% shooting from the line. Baker vaulted 44 spots to #194.

Theurer and the Cardinals are looking to take the next step after flying into the 1A DII state tournament with one loss last season. Eventual state runner-up Linn handled them by double digits in the quarterfinals. Theurer, who averaged 8.2 points after putting up 10 per game in 2024, is among the group of seniors who have never missed a state tournament. The Rangy guard is a strong two-way player who is disruptive at the top of full court pressure, handles and finishes at speed in transition and has a quick trigger with bounce from the perimeter. The South Central Boarder League first team selection shot up 40 spots to #208.
