The Oklahoma Wesleyan commit got the Pirates off a hot start with scoring around the rim. She's strong, with great touch around the basket. Then she stepped out and drained threes. It was a good representation of the skillful forward's ability to be a mismatch by stretching the floor or dominating the paint. Pendley scored 22 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.

The ringleader for the Lady Pirates, Anderson made her mark by plundering four steals. Along with the thievery, her outstanding handles put on quite the show. No matter how close defenders tried to guard her, she kept the ball on a string and carved up the defense. Looked to pass just as much as she scored herself. Finished in double figures with 11 points.

Another double figure scorer was the rock solid junior guard, Bullard. One of Dale's most well rounded players, she impressed last year as a sophomore. Very consistent and clean shooter from beyond the arc. Got into the mid-range a bit as well. Defensively, she's quality athlete, with good positional size and a committed part of Dale's smothering defense. She finished with 14 points.

After a freshman campaign at Tecumseh, Bays is fitting in naturally as a sharpshooter and disruptive defender. She thrived on the open looks her teammates created. Her gravity as a sharpshooter will prove very beneficial to Dale this year. More than just a three point weapon, she helped out with the handling duties as well. Very promising sophomore combo guard.

Relentless effort best categorized Jones' contribution. There was a loose ball that she was the fourth furthest player from it, and she still was able to out hustle them to dive on it. Along with that energy, she had an impressive stretch of six points in 20 seconds. It started when she raced down the court to get open and hit a 10 footer. Then she took her place in the Dale press, leading to a steal and a score seconds later. For good measure, she repeated her trick with another steal and score. Type of prospect who's energy and effort should provide key moments throughout the season for Dale.
