[player_tooltip player_id='747245' first='Addison' last='Medeck'] remains the #1 prospect in this 2027 Class throughout the state of Nebraska by a healthy margin at this time. Medeck, the 6'2 PF, is going to be a treat for whichever college she ends up committing to. We are talking about a Post player with natural size, a soft touch, coordinated footwork, physicality, and the ability to step out to expand the floor if need be. Not to mention, she is a relentless worker on the defensive end, being someone who consistently rebounds and alters shots whenever opposing teams try to get into the paint. Medeck holds several P4 offers at this time so it all comes down to which place feels like home the most at the end of the day. No matter where that might be, she should produce when her number is finally called.

Tink Wilson is in an interesting spot within her recruitment. Wilson is getting a lot of love from in-state/Midwest schools but it somewhat stops there. On the hardwood Wilson is a 5'11 CG that is a mismatch for most opposing teams. With her combination of height, skill, and athletic ability - it's hard for others to game plan against that. Either the defender is usually too big to stick with Wilson down the floor or they are too small and that lets post opportunities arise for the CG. This Winter Smith switched schools. This switch has been alright so far but we will just have to see how things play out moving into 2026 come Playoff time. For now though, Tink holds onto the #2 spot in this Update.

The collegiate interest for Kaytee Irons is slowly starting to rise now that she is into her Junior season. In the recruitment process you have to be patient. Most colleges won't talk to you until your are a Junior in high school unless you are someone catching the eye of high-end D1 programs. Now that Irons is a Junior and putting up some eye-opening numbers to kick off this Winter, we have some individuals who are interested. College coaches from across the Midwest are messaging PGH asking about Irons status, her current offers, and what her outlook might be in the near future at the next level. I tell them all the same thing. Irons is a pass-first PG with great instincts. She has an act for making big plays and usually it has nothing to do with actually scoring the rock herself. The way she sets her teammates up, understands situations, and her natural jump to the ball is next level. Whenever she takes the floor to compete she is impactful and that's why she sits in this #3 spot in our Update.

[player_tooltip player_id='865482' first='Alijah' last='Stabler'] is a natural in every definition of the phrase when it comes to the sport of Basketball. Stabler is another guard that we would consider a pass first PG because of her ability to make everyone else around her better when the rock is in her possession. Stabler controls momentum, pace of play, and what is happening in real time when she is bringing the ball down the floor and it's noteworthy. When you see a leader, who doesn't need to score every time and who can create at such a high rate for those around her, it's special and it will translate immediately at the next level one day. Stabler is a future D1 prospect in our eyes. She already holds interest from several places across the Country from AAU season on the road. Now it's all about building onto that at her new high school in Lincoln Northeast.

Anyone that has seen [player_tooltip player_id='893265' first='Zoe' last='Beveridge'] compete over the past year knows that she might be something special in college one day, depending on where she ends up. Beveridge is another PG but she would be considered more of a scoring threat than anything else. The way that she can light the nets on fire from deep with her shot is very impressive. She can do it off the dribble or the catch and it always looks picture perfect when she lets it fly. Don't get it twisted though, Beveridge has a handle and she knows how to use it as well. She can get to her spots off the bounce and she can even facilitate for the others that get open around her because of her ability to get into the teeth of the defense. This is someone that could play at that low-end D1 level at the end of the day but I think going to a D2 powerhouse might suit her a little bit better. We still have a few years from that decision though so for the moment she will hang onto the #5 spot as we round-out this Top Five Update.
