<p>January has been a terrific month of basketball across the Bluegrass State, bringing a surge of standout performances and plenty of names to discuss. Below are seven players who are putting together big months and making a major impact for their teams.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='747645' first='Haylee' last='Noel'] put on a show in the Battle of the Union, pouring in a whopping 43 points along with 4 assists, and 4 rebounds to lead Cooper to a 69–63 win over Ryle. Noel drilled six three-pointers and was a perfect 7-for-7 from the free-throw line, delivering one of the most impressive performances of the season. The junior is now averaging a team-leading 22.3 points and 7.2 rebounds per game, as the Lady Jaguars have extended their winning streak to seven games. Cooper will look to keep the momentum rolling Thursday when they host Highlands in a key 9th Region matchup.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Walton-Verona standout [player_tooltip player_id='494689' first='Elin' last='Logue'] turned in another big-time scoring performance, pouring in 29 points and knocking down six triples in a win over Anderson County. The junior sharpshooter continues to light it up from deep, posting several 30-plus point outings this season, each featuring six or more made three's. Logue recently eclipsed the 1,500 career point milestone and currently ranks among the state's top three-point threats, shooting 42 percent from distance while averaging 3.8 made threes per game.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='743667' first='Kamilla' last='Marcum'] delivered a dominant performance, posting 38 points on an ultra-efficient 16-of-19 shooting from the field while pulling down 14 rebounds against Powell County. The junior continues to put together a monster season for Owsley County, showcasing her ability to control the game on both ends of the floor. Marcum is averaging 18.8 points and 13.4 rebounds per game this season and continues to solidify herself as one of the top post prospects in Kentucky's 2027 class.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Henry Clay standout [player_tooltip player_id='903478' first='Alyiah' last='Baird'] is beginning to find her stride this month and has put together a pair of eye-opening performances. She posted 19 points, four rebounds, and seven steals against Paul Laurence Dunbar, showcasing her impact on both ends of the floor. Baird followed that up with an even bigger outing against Tates Creek, finishing with 24 points and six rebounds while shooting an efficient 56 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range. The eighth grader continues to flash superstar potential well beyond her years, delivering big-time production against quality competition. The Lady Bulldogs have now won two straight games and will look to keep the momentum going Wednesday when they travel to Woodford County.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='722828' first='Piper' last='Cotham'] went off for a game-high 29 points going 12/20 from the field and 4/8 from deep, while adding 6 rebounds to lead the Lyon County to a 55–31 win over Caldwell County. The Lady Lyons continue to roll, extending their red-hot streak to 10 straight wins, and will look to stay in the win-column tomorrow when they take on Carlisle County in the All "A" Classic tournament, at the Owensboro Sportscenter.</p>

Despite the big night from Price, the Lady Eagles have dropped back-to-back games, but they'll look to get back on track tomorrow as they travel to Beechwood to take on the Lady Tigers.</p>
