In Memphis, there was a high school that had several students scoring in the 30s on the ACT each year. They would recognized the students on their outdoor sign with their name and ACT score. It inspired me to recognize players in Memphis that scored 30 or more points in the game. I called it the 30/30 Club.

The first year 10 players scored over 30 points. Then it exploded to players scoring in the 30s, 40s and even over 50 points in a game.

I wrote about the first members of the 25-26 30/30 Club back in early December. We have had a lot of basketball played since then and new members added to the list.

High Energy Guard/Forward. Gabby scored 34 points vs Crosstown on January 6. I first saw Gabby play back in the fall during the league season. She played with a high motor and a lot of energy. I talked about her hustling and and rebounding abilities. During a play day in early November, I was able to catch part of one of her games with her high school team. During that game, what stood out was her leadership skills. She was very vocal at directing and helping her teammates.

Stretch Post. Ava scored 33 points vs East Nashville in December. Ava committed to Penn after the summer season. I caught a Hutchison games a week ago against St. Benedict. Ava is a player that can knock down 3 point shots. She also crashes the boards for rebounds. Something else I saw in the St. Benedict game from Ava. Not only does she have 3 point range. She can also defend on the perimeter as well.
