We are now over halfway done with the updated rankings, now that the 2028 class update is posted. Like for the 2026 and 2027 classes, we will have the Top Ten players discussed today, and we'll look at some stock risers and new additions over the weekend before unveiling the first edition of the 2029 class rankings next week.

The Madison native, in my opinion, may be the most talented player in the country in the 2028 class. Her combination of skill, athleticism, and raw talent is something I haven't seen in many others of her class around the country, and Riak still has plenty of room to grow as a player, which makes her one of the most intriguing prospects in the country in her class. From seeing her as a 7th grader playing a Fall League in Stoughton to where she is now has been a joy to watch, and I'm excited to see what the future holds for her.

The sophomore at Oostburg is one of the most skilled players that Wisconsin has produced, and may make the game look easier than anyone I've seen come out of Wisconsin in my time covering the girls' game. She's an elite three-level scorer and one of the few to make off-balanced mid-range jumpers efficiently enough to make it difficult to ask her to stop shooting them. Ketterhagen is a national-level recruit who will be sought after by all the top programs in the Midwest. She's another one who people have seen as a 7th grader playing a few age levels up with her sisters, and she has come a long way since then. It's exciting to see her continue adding more layers to her game.

The Stevens Point wing is a player who turned heads late in the AAU season last summer, and it's easy to understand why that happened. Awe is a 6'2 wing who can handle, shoot, and finish around the basket, and everyone who see's her believes there is so much talent there, that it's hard to pass up that talent and potential, and some of the programs you'll find at the highest levels of the college game have offered her because of how high her ceiling is. She has all the tools to continue improving well into her college career.

Injuries have hindered Mannetter from getting as extended a run as she would have liked in her first few high school seasons, the latest being a knee injury that ended her sophomore career before it started. However, you won't find many kids with her athletic and physical tools, with the skill she has in her game. I'd say she is the best player in her class at attacking the basket and finishing around the rim. Her strength and lateral quickness have also indicated that she could be an intriguing defensive prospect at the next level. I'm eager to see her back on the floor next season for Westosha Central.

Unfortunately, Kling was the latest member of this extremley talented 2028 class to suffer a severe knee injury, which ended her sophomore season prematurely. However, you may not find a better pure athlete in this class in the Midwest. Kling, along with being an uber-talented basketball player, is also an elite soccer player who's applied her talent across the pond in Europe. On the basketball side of things, she has been the brightest underclass product in Western Wisconsin because of her ability to score, shoot over almost anyone, excel in the mid-range area, rebound in a crowd, and be a versatile defender.
