I loved what she did early, playing off the ball, and obviously, with someone as good as she was, being face-guarded a lot. Sabrina was good in the second half, creating 1v1, and she did well getting to her mid-range and the rim. Sabrina has a move where she gets deep in the paint and fades to her right to create space, and it's tough to stop. Even in a loss, Sabrina showed her high level of quality, and she is undoubtedly one of the top guards in the DMV.

[player_tooltip player_id='935989' first='Nyla' last='Curry'] has been one of the best freshmen in the state, and I've enjoyed watching her. Nyla is a great athlete with fantastic size, and you saw that when she attempted to get to the rim. She had a handful of tough drives early, and I liked what she did as a spot-up shooter. She's also a great passer, even if that's not something you saw much today, and I think she does well as a secondary ball handler. I love her defensive versatility, and winding down her Freshman season, I think it's safe to say she is a star in the making.

Sidwell Friends really won this game in the 3rd quarter. They went on a 16-0 run that took a 4-point deficit all the way to a 12-point lead by quarter's end. Autumn Fleary was excellent this quarter and really the whole half. She hit 2 threes late in the 3rd, one of them being a deep spot-up three and the other an end-of-quarter three she hit coming off a screen. Late, her free throw shooting and drives to the rim sealed the game, and she looked every bit of the nationally ranked player she is.

As said earlier, Sidwell Friends' shot-making from their guards was super elite. Ava knocked down a handful of spot-up threes, and I loved what she did early in this game, putting the ball on the floor and hitting a few mid-range shots. Ava had some impressive dimes, and she and Autumn Fleary played off each other well. Ava did well both as a ball handler and passer, and she hit a few threes off of screens.

Potomac School plays smaller, and I felt Sidwell took advantage of that. Particularly by what Genesis Schneeberg did. Genesis had a couple of plays where she sneaked behind the defense to get an easy finish off a nice pass. She was also dominant finishing through contact, getting multiple and 1s. She muscled through defenders when she caught in the post and had some crafty finishes. Her work on the glass was great, and her size and activity were a crucial part of this Sidwell.
