Ben Davis' Curry gave it her all against Plainfield in the first round of the sectional tournament. Putting up 22 points and 8 rebounds, also contributing 2 blocks. Shania played well on both ends and kept the Giants in a close battle.

Ball State commit and the leading scorer for Plainfield, [player_tooltip player_id='751064' first='Hannah' last='Menser'], did what she does best: put the ball in the basket. Averaging 17 ppg for the tournament, Hannah finished her season doing what she did all season—looking forward to a big senior year!

IU East commit Makaylee butts showed up on the box score, but the things that stood out most were the way she handled herself under pressure. Very patient with the ball, had a nice-looking floater, and even threw in a couple of euro layups. IU East has a true point guard on the way.

Detroit Mercy commit, [player_tooltip player_id='486542' first='Alonna' last='Divine'], was a standout in Pike's run to regionals. Doing it all on both ends of the floor, Alonna showed why she's a Division 1 talent last weekend. Overall, great performances from her in both games. She looked comfortable getting to the bucket, made several 3s, and most importantly, played good defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='928878' first='Marley' last='Jeffers'], the Maryland-Eastern Shore commit was huge for Pike, controlling the boards in both games vs Avon and Plainfield. Marley put her mark on the games by simply being aggressive on the offensive boards and getting to the free-throw line. Second-chance points were a big reason why Pike would go on runs and make it harder for the other team. UMES has a special player coming down to Maryland.

One of the best freshmen in the state, Savannah Mitchell, showed why she has that title next to her name: poised, patient, good footwork, and a nice handle. One of the things that stood out most was her ability to come off the bench and make an immediate impact. The game vs Avon passed the eye test on every level. Did a great job using her size and made some tough shots.

The junior combo guard's performance against Plainfield in the final game was what stood out the most. Knocking down 3s and getting to the basket was the theme of this game, and Saniya played a big part in that. Another thing that caught my eye was her ability to push the ball up the court and find open shots for others. She continues to have herself a good season.

Depauw commit, [player_tooltip player_id='486496' first='Berkeley' last='Williams'] was the player of the game in Plainfield's second-round matchup vs Brownsburg, putting up 17 points after dropping 16 points in the first round vs. Ben Davis. Williams and her team didn't end the season how they'd like, but no doubt she left it all out on the court. Depauw is getting a solid shooter from behind the arc and a natural scorer.
