Saturday morning the OSSAA released the road to the State for Classes 4A, 3A and 2A. To check out the full brackets for every classification, click here!

Toughest Class 4A Area - III

Picking two representatives from this Area is extremely difficult. Broken Bow has the best one-two punch in the Area, with [player_tooltip player_id='866548' first='Jaylen' last='Cauthron'] and [player_tooltip player_id='881182' first='Tyson' last='Woolsey']. They deserve to be the favorite but it's not an easy path. A potential match up against traditional power house Fort Gibson looms for a Regional championship. The Tigers have won 6 of their last 7, with their only loss being a close one to 4A contenders Locust Grove. It checks out they would start to peak at the right time, as Fort Gibson has exciting young talent. With freshman backcourt duo Zoey Hyde and [player_tooltip player_id='1265767' first='Avery' last='Skaggs']. Along with surging sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1222492' first='Amelia' last='Price'] bringing a post presence.

The other side of the bracket features two programs who have racked up the wins this year, Harrah and Chickasha. Harrah has slipped up a bit down the stretch, but with an outstanding group of senior shot making guards and sophomore lead guard [player_tooltip player_id='955556' first='Paislee' last='Carter'], they have the talent to make a State Tournament run.

Chickasha is 19-3, including a win over the aforementioned Harrah in the Lindsay tournament championship. They're led by their senior big three of [player_tooltip player_id='934771' first='Ashlynn' last='Smith'], [player_tooltip player_id='678390' first='Maycee' last='Hill'] and [player_tooltip player_id='581623' first='Mea' last='Ginn']. [player_tooltip player_id='934771' first='Ashlynn' last='Smith'] is a problem causer around the rim, as she's quick and strong. Ginn and Hill are both 1,000 point career scorers as guards. Keep an eye on sophomore Brynlie Alexander to potentially put the Fighting Chicks over the top.

The depth of the Area also includes more promising sophomores. With defensive minded guard [player_tooltip player_id='1219363' first='Kilahh' last='Ellingberg'] leading an upset minded Muldrow team. A recent win over Weatherford proves that sophomores [player_tooltip player_id='986727' first='Evalynn' last='Mitchell'] and [player_tooltip player_id='992458' first='Lakyn' last='Smith'] could spark a Cinderella type run, as both were double figure scorers in that contest. They'll join with senior [player_tooltip player_id='523902' first='Marissa' last='Sandlin'] to give the Tigers a fighting chance in this loaded Area.

Toughest Class 3A Area - III

This Area includes three State Tournament teams from last year, who all return keys players from those runs. Tahlequah Sequoyah were runner ups last year, with a balanced and deep squad. Their depth took a bit of a blow when outstanding sophomore Juju Davenport suffered a major knee injury (best wishes on the recovery). They still have the guard play to make a state tournament run with heady senior [player_tooltip player_id='1215799' first='Prairie' last='Holmes'] and the young clutch shooter, sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='992448' first='Brenly' last='Lamb'].

Making for the challenging path for the Lady Indians are Roland and Keys. The Lady Rangers are no stranger to the State Tournament, and have likely the best player in the area. Junior sharpshooter [player_tooltip player_id='593920' first='Ryanne' last='Nelke']. Keys has the outstanding Zodrow sisters, Payton and Paizlee. Sophomore Paizlee has star potential and could use a playoff run to achieve that.

An unranked threat in this area is 918 based Victory Christian. They're well tested, and have exciting young talent. Including freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1554045' first='Eliana' last='Linn'], who has earned all tournament honors in all three in season tournaments for the Lady Conquerors. A win over 12th ranked Class 3A Cascia Hall is further proof that VCS is capable of shaking up this bracket.

Toughest Class 2A Area - IV

It will be a war to escape this area. 16th ranked Pawnee has arguably the best player in the Area with senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='525642' first='Jaslene' last='Garcia-Howell']. She can dominate in the paint, score off the bounce and drain threes. She'll draw plenty of attention from opposing defenses and still produce. At the top of the Area is Hartshorne, who were runner ups last year. An impressive run at the Mustang Holiday Classic proved they're still serious contenders. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='443065' first='Ti'heiress' last='Davis'] gives them a go to option late in games.

Vanoss is recent small town basketball royalty, but missed State last year for the first time since 2017. They're 20-2 and will lean on their senior post presence [player_tooltip player_id='846962' first='Alivia' last='Ellis']. She's a long armed, mobile forward who can shut down the paint on defense. And step out to hit jumpers from beyond the arc.

10th ranked Kansas is also in this area, they're 20-1 and just recorded one of the best wins of any Class 2A team this year. On Friday they took down second ranked Class 3A Adair. Junior Kabree Smith has parking lot range as as a sharpshooting guard.
