Now officially Minnesota's all-time leader in both points and assists, plus a 5-time state champion, there is no question that [player_tooltip player_id='252381' first='Maddyn' last='Greenway'] earned herself the Most Valuable Player Selection for the Class 2A State Tournament. The McDonald's All-American, Minnesota Gatorade Player of the Year, and Miss Basketball finalist has rewritten the history books again and again. On Saturday, she led the Providence Academy Lions in one last win, earning them their record-breaking fifth consecutive title. Here's a look at Maddyn's performance at State along with the rest of the Prep Girls Hoops Class 2A All-Tournament Team.

FIRST TEAM

[player_tooltip player_id='252381' first='Maddyn' last='Greenway'] – 2026 Guard, Providence Academy (Kentucky)

The Kentucky commit got off to a blazing start in the State Quarterfinal, putting up a whopping 53 points against Central Public, shooting 57.9% from the field. While she didn't put up quite the same numbers in the following two games, Greenway continued to be the engine for Providence, driving them to 20+ point wins in all three rounds. Over the course of the Tournament, Maddyn amassed 116 points, 28 rebounds, 34 assists, and 14 steals. She had her fingers all over the offense, scoring or assisting on 73% of the Lions' field goals throughout the Tournament. The 5'8 guard provided immeasurable contributions on the defensive end as well, using her tenacity, speed, and sheer athleticism to help Providence finish on top one final time.

[player_tooltip player_id='529357' first='Emma' last='Millerbernd'] – 2027 Guard, Providence Academy

As evidenced by her State-Tournament performance, Millerbernd is the type of player who will do whatever is needed to get her team the win. From her lockdown defense both in the paint and on the perimeter, to her willingness to get her hands dirty and fight for possessions, the Lions junior laid it all out on the floor this weekend. In the State Championship game, Emma had an explosive performance, contributing 21 points in the win over Duluth Marshall. As the #5 ranked prospect in the class of 2027, Millerbernd is a sure-fire Division 1 prospect. On Saturday she certainly played like it.

[player_tooltip player_id='433933' first='Chloe' last='Johnson'] – 2028 Guard, Duluth Marshall

The Hilltopper's star point guard put on quite the performance in her State Tournament debut. Dropping 35, 36, and 22 points in each contest, Johnson provided the bulk of the offense for Duluth Marshall. It was her defense in Friday's semifinal matchup against New London-Spicer that really impressed us, though. From her high-physicality in the paint, to her immense grit on the boards and ability to come up with timely blocks in transition, Chloe's tenacity and attention to detail were unmatched, making it one of the most complete two-way performances we've seen from her to date. Along with her 36 points, Johnson finished with 12 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 blocks against the Wildcats.

[player_tooltip player_id='1233136' first='Korbin' last='Tanner'] – 2029 Forward, New London-Spicer

The 9th grade post from New London-Spicer was certainly one of the breakout performers of the Class 2A State Tournament. Standing at 6'2 with a strong frame, Tanner physically dominates most of her opponents in the regular season. At the Tournament, Top 15-ranked freshman was put to the test, going up against the likes of [player_tooltip player_id='1090108' first='Addison' last='Harris'] and [player_tooltip player_id='433933' first='Chloe' last='Johnson']. Leading the Wildcats in both points and rebounds in the quarter- and semifinals, it's safe to say that Korbin held her own. Throughout the week Tanner showcased her skilled footwork in the paint, ability to finish around the rim with both hands, and willingness to push the pace in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id='502604' first='Kaia' last='Anderson'] – 2026 Guard, Perham (Southwest Minnesota State)

The Yellowjackets senior gave two standout performances at this year's State Tournament, tallying 21 points in the quarterfinal matchup against Rochester Lourdes, and 26 in the semifinal game against Providence Academy. In both contests Anderson displayed her effortless athleticism, versatility to play multiple positions on both ends of the floor, and ability to score from anywhere on the court. Having capped off her high school career, Anderson, a Top-40 ranked senior, will trade in her black and yellow for brown and gold as she heads to Division 2 Southwest Minnesota State in the fall.

SECOND TEAM

[player_tooltip player_id='872714' first='Beckett' last='Greenway'] – 2029 Guard, Providence Academy

The younger Greenway was instrumental for the Lions all winter. That was no different at the State Tournament. The 5'8 freshman guard showed her abilities as a true two-way threat, providing invaluable minutes for Providence throughout their championship run. Over the three games Beckett averaged 14.6 points, 4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 4 steals. What couldn't be measured on the stat sheet was her intensity on the defensive end, high IQ plays, and ability to hit shots when the Lions needed them most.

[player_tooltip player_id='764173' first='Lexi' last='Nicolai'] – 2027 Forward, Providence Academy

Nicolai stepped up in a big way on Saturday, providing a major offensive spark for Providence in the 2A State Championship game. The junior forward opened the contest with a quick 6 points in transition. In the second half, Lexi continued to find good looks in the paint, shooting a perfect 9-for-9 from the field. In addition to her 19 points, the 79th-ranked 2027 prospect was relentless on the glass, grabbing a game-high 13 boards. It was certainly a breakout performance for the Lions post.

Taylor Munsch – 2026 Guard, New London-Spicer

One of the top performers for the Wildcats this season, Munsch's game demanded greater attention in her senior campaign. The New London-Spicer guard delivered at the State Tournament, particularly in the team's quarterfinal matchup against Minnehaha Academy. With senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='721209' first='Ayla' last='Caskey'] on the bench due to foul trouble, Taylor took over the game. The 5'7 guard delivered soft-touch floaters at the rim, crashed the boards to score off her teammates misses, and made scrappy hustle plays to earn extra possessions. She finished with 16 points against the Redhawks.

[player_tooltip player_id='886920' first='Regan' last='Hemberger'] – 2028 Guard, Perham

With a reputation as one of the premier three-point shooters in the state, Hemberger certainly showed what she's capable of this weekend. The 5'5 sophomore's long range and lightning quick release helped propel the Yellowjackets to a 66-63 win over Rochester Lourdes in the quarterfinal, where Hemberger nailed 6 shots from distance. While Perham was knocked out in the semifinals, Regan went off for another 7 shots from deep in the Class 2A third place game against New London-Spicer.

[player_tooltip player_id='502563' first='Lauren' last='Hust'] – 2026 Forward, Rochester Lourdes (St. Cloud State)

While Rochester Lourdes didn't get the postseason outcome they were hoping for, Hust capped off an outstanding high school career over the weekend. The Eagles forward fought tooth-and-nail in the paint in Wednesday's quarter final matchup against Perham. She led the team with 19 points and 13 rebounds in the narrow loss to the Yellowjackets. A Top-70 ranked prospect in the senior class, Lauren recently announced her commitment to Division 2 St. Cloud State.
