At the Fla-Ga Showcase, there were numerous Junior forwards in attendance. They weren't defined by their standout performances as much as by their presence and competitiveness. Many of the 2027 forwards have already established early recognition, including various offers, while others used the showcase as a starting point — an opportunity to get on the radar and begin building momentum. With size, versatility, and developing profiles, the 2027 forwards displayed skillsets that will continue to evolve through the travel season and into next year.

Abigail Phillistin stood out at the FL/GA Showcase with her ability to handle the ball and help initiate offense. In a traditional setting, she serves as a reliable secondary ball handler, capable of helping out in press break and creating matchup problems against slower forwards and centers. Phillistin can score in the paint, using her quickness around the rim. She also brings a physical defensive presence and competes well on that end of the floor. Understanding her role, she impacts the game in multiple ways - rebounding, defense, and ball handling.

[player_tooltip player_id='400813' first='Asiana' last='McCreary'] will enter her senior season next year with a strong recruitment following already in place, and there is still plenty of upside ahead of her. She is a reliable perimeter shooter with the ability to stretch the floor, and while she can operate on the block, her strength lies facing up on the outside. Continued development with her ball handling is going to elevate her ability to consistently play the three at the next level. Defensively, McCreary has the versatility to guard both the three and the four. She rebounds well and brings physical traits that translate to the four, while her shooting ability gives her the advantage of spacing the floor from the wing.

[player_tooltip player_id='515055' first='Brianna' last='Matthews'] was one of the most impressive forwards at the showcase, displaying a well-rounded game on both ends of the floor. She showed the ability to operate inside while also stepping out and scoring on the perimeter, where she was consistent from three-point range. Matthews has good size and strength, allowing her to hold position and compete against physical forwards in the paint. Beyond her scoring, she has excellent hands and tracks the ball well, making her a strong rebounder. Matthews led her team with 8.6 rebounds per game, along with 1.1 blocks and 10 points per game. She helped guide her team to the brink of the Final Four, falling just one point short to Somerset, the eventual state champion.

[player_tooltip player_id='1315674' first='Gessicah' last='Emma Francois'] brought consistent effort and energy to the showcase, making her presence felt in every phase of the game. She is a relentless competitor who battles for rebounds, chases down loose balls, and consistently makes hustle plays that impact winning. Offensively, Francois can finish around the basket, runs the floor well, and converts in transition. She has also shown the ability to knock down the short mid-range shot when given space. Francois' overall impact starts with her motor, and her energy sets the tone and creates opportunities on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='748533' first='Falisa' last='White'] is generally the most physically imposing player in the building, possessing the kind of athletic frame that immediately draws the attention of college coaches. At the FL/GA showcase, she stood out as the most physically demanding matchup on the floor. While White has the ability to score from the perimeter, she is at her best when she gets a foot in the paint, using her strength and physicality to finish through contact around the basket. In transition, White runs the floor hard and with good speed and power, scoring opportunities, and putting constant pressure on the defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='248380' first='Aaliyah' last='Figueroa'] brings great length and mobility, consistently running the floor well and impacting the game as a versatile scorer. She has the ability to knock down shots from beyond the arc, primarily off the catch. She generally puts pressure on the defense with her ability to attack the rim. Figueroa thrives in transition, where her speed and instincts allow her to create and capitalize on scoring opportunities. Defensively, she can match up on the perimeter against both guards and forwards, using her length and quickness effectively. She also does a strong job of pushing the ball vertically off rebounds, helping initiate the transition game and pushing the tempo.

[player_tooltip player_id='1000779' first='Lucia' last='Warner'] played well this past season and will definitely be a player on the rise in the rankings. Warner is an under-the-radar forward who was in the building at the FL-GA Showcase. Warner has a nice shooter's touch from the perimeter, capable of shooting the three as well as the midrange. Warner loves to mix it up on the inside and rebounds well from the small forward position. Warner is active on the floor and led her team in assists, rebounds, and assists from the small forward position.
