2028 Recruiting Heats Up

Even before the Class of 2028 had started high school, the expectations have been high for the talented group of girls from Oklahoma. Over two high school seasons, the ladies have largely met expectations with outstanding individual and team success. Now after the second live period of 2026, college coaches have started to take notice of what observers in Oklahoma have known for a long time. These girls have game.      It's a breakthrough for the high ceiling Newcastle wing. First Northern Alabama offered and then Arkansas as well. It's well deserved for a high motor prospect, who has long shown next level gifts when it comes to her combination of athleticism and power. King has been a consistent double digit scoring threat, averaging 14.2 points a game for LeGYnds' 16U team in Nike Girls EYBL play.     Power Four offers have been common for Holmes and she's added to her list with an offer from Virginia Tech of the ACC and Mississippi State of the SEC. To go along with her athletic accomplishments, she also has the academics to secure an offer from Harvard. Holmes is arguably the best scorer in the state, with smooth threes and explosive takes to the rim. The Southern Ties guard previously has been offered by Arkansas, Tulsa and SMU.     Over the winter, Big 12 programs Baylor and Oklahoma State offered the northern Oklahoma standout. Now she has an offer from the SEC, with Mississippi State extending an offer following the Heart of Texas. At that tournament, she showed off her do it all nature by averaging 15.8 points, 5.3 rebounds 4.5 assist and 5.3 steals per game. New Mexico and LA Tech also have offered earlier this spring. The potential and upside of the athletic twin duo has always been obvious and after this past weekend Colorado, SMU and UCF have all extended offers to the disruptive duo. They've already shown their impact as defensive and transition menaces for Union as sophomores. If the new college attention is any indication, the duo are ready to take their game to an even high level as juniors.     Another 918 prospect running with Texas U also shined at the Heart of Texas. She picked up a D1 offer from Abilene Christian, a college program that has been making Oklahoma prospects a priority. Woodruff ended her high school season on a high, with an outstanding individual State Tournament leading to a Class 4A State Championship with LCS. It's good to see the do it all guard keep the momentum going this spring. With this D1 offer being further proof she's ready to step into a bigger role as LCS goes for their third straight State Title.     Woods is another Oklahoma prospect who added to her Power 4 offers. This time with SMU offering her after she played with LeGYnds' 17U team in New Orleans. Playing up an age group, she was in double figures multiple times over the weekend. She's an athletic bucket getter, who isn't afraid to get after it on defense.
