We are officially halfway through June's camp month. This means that in a few weeks, the travel schedule will resume and top-tier prospects will be looking to finish the 2026 grassroots season with a flourish before the 2026-27 academic year begins.

There is also a live period during June. That will occur this upcoming weekend and the attention of many a South Carolina high school girls basketball fan will be on Riverview Park as the North Augusta venue once again hosts the SCBCA Live Camp event.

One can expect for even more activity on the Palmetto State's recruiting trail – even more than there already is. Here is the latest from said trail.

At the beginning of last month, Fowler secured an offer from IMG Academy in Florida. Before that, Fowler received her first Division I offer courtesy of George Mason. She recently took part in the A1 Hoops Team Shootout at SCISA 3A Northside Christian and spent her most recent live period with [program_tooltip program_id='1248511' first='Amp' last='Elite'] at Live At LakePoint. The freshman guard for the Fury led her 4A Fountain Inn team in scoring last season as she averaged 8.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.3 steals per contest in 2025-26. Fowler was one of only two from the class of 2029 on last season's Fountain Inn squad.

As June commenced, Singletary would land her first Division I offer as Morehead State extended one in her direction. One can guess that will be far from the last time such an offer will be fielded by Singletary. After a pair of seasons in the 5A Division 2 ranks, Singletary's Irmo assembling will make its return to the 4A ranks next season. Singletary is playing up in class with [program_tooltip program_id='1238252' first='Twelve' last='Time'] EYCL 15U which spent May's live period at Nike Session 2 in New Orleans. Singletary is looking to build on a 2025-26 season where she earned team co-captaincy duties as an eighth grader. She averaged 23.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 3.6 steals per contest last season for the Yellow Jackets.

Speaking of premier rising freshmen across the Palmetto State, that distinction certainly applies to this talented guard from the Upstate. Last week, Mitchum received her first collegiate offer which was an in-state get courtesy of Erskine College. Mitchum has plenty of years to go before she makes a collegiate decision but one can see why Flying Fleet coach Lisa Jackson would want to have Mitchum in an Erskine uniform when we arrive at 2030. She played in 24 games last season at 4A Pickens and led the Blue Flame in scoring averaging 12.6 points per game. Mitchum also led Pickens in steals (4.6 per contest) and assists (3.8 per contest) along with being second among Blue Flame participants in rebounding (5.3 per contest). Mitchum is bringing her talents to Daniel starting with the 2026-27 season.

We at Prep Girls Hoops have already had a chance to get a pair of glimpses at what coach Lewis Mungo's 3A Camden team will resemble. It appears the Bulldogs will continue to be the state power it has been throughout the last several years. DuPree is another of the top rising freshmen across the state and recently landed an offer from an in-state Division I school in Presbyterian. DuPree would play in 23 games last season for a Bulldogs team that concluded its 2025-26 season with a berth in the 4A Upper State semifinals. She is more than poised for a breakout freshman season at Michael G. Culp Court.

Following June's camp month, Barlow is set to resume her travel schedule with Carolina Hornets United on July 5 at the LBI Summer Showcase in Concord, North Carolina. Barlow would recently pick up an offer from Queens University. She adds this offer to a previous one she secured last year from Presbyterian. Barlow was part of a Dorman team that earned a berth to the 5A Division 1 Upper State semifinals last season. The Cavaliers recently took part in the Zaxby's Shootout at 2A Blacksburg. Barlow was the only participant from the class of 2028 that was part of last season's Cavaliers team.

Speaking of collegiate offers being extended in the direction of standouts from the Palmetto State's largest school, Moore would secure one from Claflin. Moore would add the Claflin offer to another in-state get she would secure from Coker prior to the start of last season. “Lil bit” would also land an offer from Wingate nearly a year ago. She was one of five from the class of 2027 that were part of last season's Dorman team. Moore played in all 26 contests last season the Cavaliers and would average 13 points, 3.7 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 2.9 steals per game.

Another in-state offer would find its way to one of the premier power forwards in the Palmetto State. Rush had already secured offers from Lander and Erskine College. She also added Claflin to the list of schools she would be offered by. Rush and her 3A Camden team has taken part in the A1 Hoops Shootout as well as the Chapin Eagles Shootout. She also took part at a recent camp at Claflin. The SC Future 17U product has played at the high school varsity level since she was in middle school and competed in 27 contests throughout a solid 2025-26 season at the 4A level for the Bulldogs. Rush averaged 11.4 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.8 steals per contest last season.

Collegiate programs are also beginning to take note of the Palmetto State's 2031 class. Gipson is one of the premier names among rising eighth graders and she has already landed her first collegiate offer. It was of the in-state variety and courtesy of Newberry College. She is a major reason why the Falcons of 4A Ben Lippen can be considered a team of the immediate future. Gipson would compete in all 30 games for a Falcons team that advanced to the semifinals of last year's SCISA 4A tournament. She averaged 13.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.4 steals per matchup in 2025-26.

Speaking of noteworthy names from the private school ranks, Pojani appears to land Division I offers with regularity lately. The latest one was of the in-state variety courtesy of Wofford. Pojani's travel schedule has seen her mostly wear the FBC Reign 2028 uniform but was a guest player with [program_tooltip program_id='988463' first='Mosch' last='Ball'] at the Southeast Kickoff of the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit back in late March. She would pay in 35 of the Hurricanes' 36 games throughout last season. Pojani averaged 22.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.3 steals and 3.7 assists per matchup en route to winning the 2025-26 state championship with First Baptist.

Recruitment of standouts from 5A Mauldin has also ticked up in recent days. She was another who secured an offer from Claflin. McIver adds the Claflin offer to previous offers she picked up from Wingate, Converse, and Lander. She has played her final club season with FBC United We Trust on the Under Armour Circuit and spent May's live period at Live At LakePoint in Georgia. McIver would compete in 26 games last season for the Mavericks and would help Mauldin earn a berth in the 5A Division 1 Upper State championship game. She averaged 10.4 points, 5.7 rebounds and two steals per contest.

Aiken was another from the Mavericks that picked up a collegiate offer recently as coach Lisa Jackson and Erskine College extended one in her direction. Aiken is transitioning into her third season playing at the high school varsity level considering her first season was two years ago as an eighth grader. She was another key piece to Mauldin's deep playoff run last season as she would compete in 25 of the Mavericks' 26 contests last season. Aiken would average 9.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game in 2025-26. She was one of two from the class of 2029 on last season's Mavericks assembling.

Ligon was another representing 5A Mauldin who picked up a college offer. She recently participated in an elite camp at Newberry College. It was a successful camp for Ligon as she departed from the home court of the Wolves with an offer from coach Johnette Walker's program. She adds this latest offer to previous looks she received from Anderson, Augusta, Presbyterian and Erskine. Last season, Ligon would play in all 26 of the Mavericks' contests. She would average 7.3 points, 3.6 assists and 2.6 steals per game in 2025-26. She has run with BBB Elite during the 2026 grassroots season.

We are officially halfway through June's camp month. This means that in a few weeks, the travel schedule will resume and top-tier prospects will be looking to finish the 2026 grassroots season with a flourish before the 2026-27 academic year begins.
