<p>The West Michigan Team Camp brought together a talented collection of programs this past Monday and Tuesday at West Ottawa High School, providing teams with valuable summer competition ahead of the upcoming season. Throughout the two-day event, players had the opportunity to showcase their skills against quality opponents, with numerous prospects turning in impressive performances. When the dust settled, reigning Division 1 state champion Muskegon captured both the varsity and JV championships, further reinforcing why the Big Reds remain one of the premier programs in the state. <p class="text-gray-700">Dy'Nasti was a force in the paint throughout the West Michigan Team Camp and continued to show why she is one of the most productive post players around. The Muskegon standout consistently controlled the interior, making an impact as both a scorer and rebounder while piling up production on a possession-by-possession basis. She displayed soft touch and strong footwork around the basket, finishing efficiently through traffic and capitalizing on opportunities near the rim. On the glass, Dy'Nasti was relentless, securing rebounds with strong hands and doing an excellent job of keeping the ball high before quickly converting second-chance opportunities. Defensively, she protected the paint at a high level, altering shots and recording numerous blocks. She also showed great chemistry in the pick-and-roll game, creating easy scoring chances with her timing, hands, and finishing ability. Her all-around presence in the post made her one of the most impactful players at the event.</p>

The long, athletic guard consistently made winning plays, whether it was creating opportunities for teammates, scoring herself, or making defensive stops. She displayed excellent vision out of the pick-and-roll, delivering timely passes and making smart decisions with the ball in her hands. Lauren was also active on the glass, using her length and athleticism to secure rebounds and help start the break. Offensively, she finished efficiently around the basket and stretched the defense by knocking down shots from beyond the arc. One of her biggest hustle plays came when she jumped an inbound pass and immediately converted it into points on the other end. Defensively, Lauren's length, activity, and instincts allowed her to disrupt plays and make a consistent impact throughout the event.</p>

She started the championship game with an aggressive attack to the basket, beating her defender and finishing through contact to give her team an early spark. Throughout the event, Brooklynn consistently put pressure on defenses, using her strength and body control to earn trips to the free-throw line. She also displayed a polished spin move in the lane that helped her create scoring opportunities in tight spaces. On the glass, she battled hard and came away with numerous rebounds, while offensively she did an excellent job sealing defenders and creating strong positioning around the basket. The quick and shifty point guard did an excellent job pushing the pace in transition, creating opportunities for both herself and her teammates. She consistently made hustle plays, including diving on the floor for loose balls and competing hard on every possession. Antanique was also a disruptive defender who used her quickness to pressure opposing guards and force mistakes. Offensively, she showcased her ability to create space with a smooth step-back jumper and delivered several quality passes in transition. Her combination of speed, toughness, and playmaking made her a valuable piece of Muskegon's championship run.</p>

The West Ottawa guard consistently played under control, making smart decisions and demonstrating a strong feel for the game. Her basketball IQ was evident throughout the event, as she kept her team organized and made the right reads with the ball in her hands. Offensively, Jayla showcased a smooth stop-and-pop jumper and displayed nice touch on a floater in the lane. Defensively, she competed hard and was active on that end of the floor, making plays with her positioning and effort. Her poise, leadership, and all-around skill set helped her stand out on her home floor.</p>

The quick guard consistently created problems for opposing ball handlers with her instincts, active hands, and relentless effort on the defensive end. She came away with multiple steals, including one sequence where she poked the ball free, sprinted the floor, and finished in transition on the other end. Shelby's scrappy style of play showed up throughout the event as she battled for loose balls and made hustle plays that don't always show up in the box score. She also crashed the offensive glass effectively, creating extra possessions for her team. Her speed, toughness, and defensive impact helped her stand out during the two-day event.</p>
