2028 Standouts at Grand Valley Elite Camp

Grand Valley hosted another outstanding Elite Camp on Tuesday evening, drawing a tremendous turnout as players from across the state came to learn from the back-to-back national champions. The camp was well organized from start to finish, with the coaching staff explaining each drill before Grand Valley's players demonstrated the skills and techniques, giving campers a clear example before putting them into action. The evening also featured competitive 5-on-5 games, with the campers divided into six teams coached by Grand Valley players. The Class of 2028 was well represented throughout the camp, with several players taking advantage of the opportunity to showcase their skills against strong competition. Here are a few of the 2028 standouts who caught my attention and made a strong impression throughout the evening.    Ellee was one of the 2028 players who caught my attention at Grand Valley Elite Camp, just as she has throughout the AAU season. Playing for Team 1, she showcased the complete skill set you like to see in a post player. Ellee finished well around the basket, used her size to rebound effectively on both ends of the floor, and showed a soft touch with a nice mid-range jumper. She also demonstrated her versatility by stepping out and knocking down a three-pointer from the wing, proving she can stretch the floor when needed. Already holding an offer from Grand Valley, Ellee continued to show exactly why the Lakers believed in her early. Her ability to score in multiple ways while making an impact on the glass made her one of the more impressive post players in attendance.     Adrianna was a 2028 prospect who had an impressive showing at Grand Valley Elite Camp. Playing for Team 4, she played a key role in helping her team finish the evening undefeated with her consistent production on both ends of the floor. Adrianna knocked down shots from beyond the arc, but she was just as effective moving without the basketball, making timely cuts that led to several strong finishes at the rim. She also attacked the glass with energy, collecting offensive rebounds and converting second-chance opportunities into points. Defensively, she turned a steal into a coast-to-coast finish, highlighting her ability to create offense from her defense. Adrianna's versatility, activity, and winning plays made her one of the standout wings in the 2028 class.     Delaney was a 2028 guard who stood out at Grand Valley Elite Camp with her size, versatility, and ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor. Playing for Team 5, she used her length to disrupt opposing players defensively, coming away with blocks and showing active hands that created problems for ball handlers. Offensively, Delaney's shiftiness allowed her to get into the lane, where she used her strength to overpower smaller guards and finish plays. She also displayed excellent court vision, delivering a terrific pass in transition and later connecting with a teammate on a well-executed pick-and-roll for an easy scoring opportunity. Delaney's combination of size, skill, and playmaking ability made her one of the more impressive guards in attendance.     Leelyn was a 2028 forward who made a strong impression at Grand Valley Elite Camp. Playing for Team 2, she brought energy and toughness every time she stepped on the floor. Leelyn was active around the basket, battling for offensive rebounds that created valuable second-chance opportunities for her team. She also showed the ability to finish through contact, highlighted by an impressive and-one play that showcased both her strength and touch around the rim. Defensively, she protected the paint with multiple blocks and consistently made her presence felt. Leelyn's physical style of play and willingness to do the dirty work made her one of the standout forwards at camp.     Alayna was a 2028 guard who impressed me at Grand Valley Elite Camp while running the point for Team 2. She possesses the qualities you want in a floor general, playing with a high basketball IQ and making consistently smart decisions with the ball in her hands. Alayna handled defensive pressure with confidence, showcased excellent ball-handling skills, and repeatedly created quality scoring opportunities for her teammates with her elite passing and ability to see the floor. On the defensive end, she stayed active with quick hands and applied steady pressure to opposing ball handlers. Alayna's poise, playmaking ability, and leadership at the point guard position made her one of the top guards in attendance.
