Here are a few athletes out of Iowa & Nebraska that have recently received interest, been offered or they have recently committed to compete at the next level following their impressive AAU seasons this Summer.

Every player listed has shown off their skill-set over the years with their varsity high school team and that has helped them prove to recruiters that they have what it takes to suit up at the next level following their high school careers. Make sure to check them out if you have a moment on the road this next month!

Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

Commitment: Central (Dutch)(IA)

Prevail of Sioux City North High School and Sanford Sports Academy has committed to D3 Central (Dutch) College for her foreseeable future at the collegiate level. Prevail is a skilled Guard. Offensively, she is someone that can run your offense as the PG or she can step to the side and play the SG position. Defensively, she is feisty and very good at pressuring her individual matchup throughout the duration of a contest when she is motivated. At the next level I think that Prevail will have to move between the 1 and 2 spot, depending on who is around her. She would ideally be put as the PG but she is more of a natural SG so it'll all come down to the coaching staff and what they see fit.

Interest: Maryville (MO)

Book it right now on September 16th, 2026. Julia Van Keuren's recruitment is going to take off over the next eight months. When you account for a hooper with height at 6'2, a natural touch on the ball, and great footwork - you have the foundation to be special and Van Keuren has everything in her arsenal to be special. She recently took a visit to D2 - Maryville out of Missouri. I'm not sure if she was offered by the Saints but she took a tour of the campus and took photos with their gear on, which is a good start. Van Keuren should end her high school career with a few D1 level offers. It's like we always say, you can't teach height.

Commitment: St. Cloud State (MN)

St. Cloud State locked in a STEAL with Claire Storhoff. Storhoff has always been a top 25 prospect out of the 2027 Class since she was a Freshman. She has always been a natural within this sport, making quick and crafty moves on both sides of the ball her entire career. She proved over and over again that she can compete against some elite competition, on the road or within her home state, so I'm not worry about her performing at the next level in the slight. She is going to get time on the floor and she is going to kill it when given the opportunity. She makes everyone else around her better and that's going to continue to be obvious as she moves into her future.

Commitment: Dordt (IA)

Dordt locks in another really talented guard from within the state in Riley Meyer of Okoboji High School. Meyer has been a name we have mentioned a few times over the last couple of seasons because of her levels of production within her conference and within her Class level throughout the state. This is a PG with elite vision and a next level ability to find her teammates with the pass. It doesn't matter if it's within the half court or in transition. When Meyer gets the rock in her possession, her teammates need to get their heads on the swivel because she is always looking to make things happen off of her creation. Dordt is going to be loaded at the Guard position over the next few seaons and I'm not sure how Meyer fairs in that conversation. She has proven that she belongs on the team already. Once she gets on campus this next season she will need to prove that she deserves some minutes throughout her Freshman year. A task that won't be easy but it will be do-able.

Interest/Offer: UCLA (CA)

Have to highlight it when you have a local prospect taking a visit to the reigning National Champions - that prospect being Jhaliana Guy of Clinton High School and The Wisconsin Purple Aces 3SSB. Guy is going to have almost every offer in the Country before she ends up committing at this point. This is something we have said for a few years now and there are no signs of it slowing down anytime soon. With the connections she has across the Country she could end up anywhere at this point. This next year is going to be very important for college programs to show Guy that they really care about her as a human. If they can do that, I think anyone could have a shot at her before everything is said and done.

Commitment: Peru State (NE)

Peru State should be VERY excited about the commitment of Macie Vetter of Treynor High School and Western Iowa Express AAU. Vetter is a coordinated Guard, that handles her own at her positions. She isn't going to kill you with crazy skill moves but more-so with the fundaments of the game. She isn't afraid of contact when she gets down hill off the dribble and she isn't a slouch as a rebounder source either. Peru State is in a spot where they need to try to continue to build a foundation for their program and this commitment is a great start!

Commitment: Luther (IA)

I am very curious to see what Emma Zabel is going to be able to accomplish at the next level. Zabel recently committed to Luther College in Iowa. Zabel is a talented Center standing at 6'1 that understands how to play her natural position. In this day of age it's rare to find someone that is okay mainly being inside the painted areas but Zabel is and she does really well because of it. She is an avid scoring threat, defender, and rebounder at the Varsity levels on the high school floor and I'm excited to see how that translates to the next level. With the correct guidance and determination, she could take things a long way within her basketball journey.

Here are a few athletes out of Iowa & Nebraska that have recently received interest, been offered or they have recently committed to compete at the next level following their impressive AAU seasons this Summer.
