Team 7 Assessment from The Expo

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Expo brought together over 70 players from the Classes of 2027 and 2028 at Seminole Sports Academy for a four-hour showcase before the start of their high school seasons. The event gave upperclassmen from across Florida another opportunity to compete, be evaluated, and get in front of college coaches, media, and scouts.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>College coaches led the instruction throughout the event before players put what they learned into action during 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 competition. With the high school season right around the corner, The Expo provided a competitive setting for players to sharpen their game, show how they impact winning in live situations, and work on adapting with players they had little familiarity with. She turned defense into offense with a pick-pocket steal and score, then showed her quickness with a strong drive to the right side that she finished with her left hand to keep it away from the trailing defender. Delissa was extremely quick downhill and showed impressive handles, changes of speed, and changes of direction to keep defenders off balance. She made a strong bounce pass on that same series to create a good transition opportunity and showed good control closing out defensively throughout the event. Her spin move in the paint was difficult to stop throughout the event, and she also showed a high-release midrange jumper over a defender that was nearly impossible to defend. She had a strong take and finish, then showed good effort by sprinting back in transition defense. She was active on the offensive glass and scored on an offensive rebound putback on a couple occassions. She drove the baseline and used good body control to finish with a runner. She attacked the basket and finished with a runner, while also showing good court vision to find open shooters. She applied strong ball pressure defensively and made it difficult for opponents to get their offense started.
