Makenna made one of the biggest jumps in the latest Class of 2028 rankings by climbing more than 40 spots after a strong spring and summer. She takes on a significant workload for her high school team which showcases her versatility and ability to impact the game in a variety of ways. Makenna has good length, shoots the ball confidently from beyond the arc with impressive range, and consistently crashes the boards on both ends of the floor. She has a knack for making smart cuts when defenses lose focus, leading to easy scoring opportunities, and has developed a solid finishing package around the basket. Her all-around skill set, versatility, and continued development make her one of the biggest stock risers in this update.

Makenna showed a strong all-around offensive game throughout the weekend and impressed with her versatility. She was comfortable bringing the ball up the floor, creating offense, and operating from multiple areas on the court. Her mid-range game looked especially polished, and she also showed deep range by knocking down multiple long-range threes. One of her more impressive sequences came when she attacked the basket off the dribble and delivered a nice pass to her post player for an easy bucket.

Makeena Marie Enfinger has a true shooter’s touch. She had one of the best follow-throughs in the gym, and her ability to hold that follow-through allowed her to make tough shots over closing defenders—and even her misses were close. Any coach would have no problem with her taking shots when she’s open. Makeena also showed she could put the ball on the floor, draw defenders, and make smart passes. She showcased her ability to use one or two dribbles into a pull-up three or a side-step three. Makeena has the potential to emerge as one of the top shooters in her class this season and is definitely a player to watch closely.
