The time has come for another rankings update for the Prep Girls Hoops Class of 2027. Officially ranked for the first time in the fall of 2023, the seniors-to-be are currently in the midst of their final AAU seasons. Since our last update back in March, there have been plenty of movers and shakers who have shown marked improvement in their game, separating themselves from the rest of the pack and raising their overall ceiling at the college level. This time around there are 25 individuals who've moved up at least one spot, and seven who've jumped 10 places or more. We'll take a look at those prospects in short order.

First though, let's take a look at the top 25. Loaded with D1 and D2 talent, five prospects have made a jump in recent months. At the top of that list is Rosemount's [player_tooltip player_id='578467' first='Amisha' last='Ramlall']. The 5'11 guard led her team in scoring this winter with just over 20 points per contest, eventually guiding the Irish to their first State Championship. Having committed to the Sweet 16-bound Gophers back in the fall of her sophomore year, Ramlall is currently the only player in the class to have signed on the dotted line with a high-major program. She moves up one spot to #2 in the class.

Making a leap this AAU season are [program_tooltip program_id='712665' first='Metro' last='Stars'] 3SSB teammates [player_tooltip player_id='377584' first='Ava' last='Cupito'] and [player_tooltip player_id='667778' first='Laila' last='Moses']. Cupito averaged 14.6 points per contest on a loaded Hopkins roster this winter and has been just as impactful this spring. Her recruitment has exploded in recent weeks, picking up D1 offers from Florida Atlantic, Loyola Chicago, Penn, and more. It's been a similar story for Laila. The 5'10 DeLaSalle guard nabbed offers from North Alabama and Dartmouth in the month of May. Cupito moves up one spot to #7 and Moses jumps one place to #17.

Rounding out the list of movers in the top 25 are [player_tooltip player_id='644100' first='Annika' last='Kieser'] of Wayzata and [player_tooltip player_id='665720' first='Jersey' last='Coleman'] of Owatonna. Both prospects have been on our radar for a number of years, each earning a spot in the Freshman 50 when the class was initially ranked. The two have also played significant roles for their respective teams this spring.

For Kieser, the growth has been in her offensive skillset. While in previous years she served more of a defensive bulldog and glue player role, the [program_tooltip program_id='712687' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] UAA guard has stepped up to bear more of the offensive load this spring. She moves up one spot to #16. Ditto for Coleman. Though we would describe her as a post player, Jersey's continued improvement over time, plus the addition of a wide array of guard skills to her toolbelt has raised the overall stock of the slightly undersized forward. She jumps three places to #22.

[player_tooltip player_id='999549' first='Anna' last='Smolich']

SOME BIG STOCK RISERS

+13 [player_tooltip player_id='999549' first='Anna' last='Smolich'] – 5'11 forward, Spring Lake Park

Spring Lake Park put themselves on the map this winter and Smolich was a big part of why. While we were impressed with her play in the high school season, it's become evident that the 5'11 forward has plenty more to prove. Anna has been an offensive dynamo for the [program_tooltip program_id='718403' first='Minnesota' last='Freeze'] this spring, creating her own scoring opportunities in more ways than one. Whether sprinting the floor in transition, hitting catch-and-shoot threes, or flashing to the rim, Smolich is getting it done on the offensive end, usually in a highly efficient manner. She rises to #61 in the class and is now drawing plenty of college interest.

+21 [player_tooltip player_id='910063' first='Taylor' last='Whitehill'] – 5'11 guard, Mounds View

If there's one thing that Whitehill has shown this spring, it's her ability to make the right play every time. Bouncy, long, and deceptively quick, the 5'11 guard's ability to read defenses and know when to pass, cut, or look to score has made her a tremendous asset for [program_tooltip program_id='714566' first='Minnesota' last='Stars'] Lodermeier. While her game isn't flashy in any way, Taylor consistently makes things happen on both ends of the floor. She can defend players of a variety of speeds and sizes, and she finds ways to score at every level. After making her debut in the rankings one year ago, Whitehill has climbed into the top 100 for the first time.

Sam Konz

+31 [player_tooltip player_id='1236881' first='Samantha' last='Konz'] – 5'8 guard, Morris Area

Since we first saw her play last spring, Konz has already made significant leaps in the rankings, first debuting at #148 and now climbing to #107 with more room to grow. It's become evident in recent months that the 5'8 guard's impact on the game is greater than we initially realized. This season with [program_tooltip program_id='756457' first='Opportunity' last='Basketball'], Sam's speed, physicality, and overall skill level have taken a jump. So has her shot creation and ability to finish through contact down low. Konz' recruiting has taken a leap recently, as well. The Morris Area standout has picked up offers from Bethany Lutheran, Valley City State, and UW-Superior of late.

+10 [player_tooltip player_id='764204' first='Kahlen' last='Suelflow'] – 5'4 guard, Sauk Centre

Standing at just 5'4, Suelflow is easy for opponents to underestimate. Usually she makes them pay. Lightning quick and ultra competitive, the [program_tooltip program_id='756457' first='Opportunity' last='Basketball'] point guard never shies away from a challenge. She's a pest on the defensive end, defending the perimeter with energy and intensity. On offense, the numbers speak for themselves. Kahlen is a lights-out shooter who can make it rain from three on any given day. In addition to her shooting, the Sauk Centre senior has a burst of speed and a tight handle that often allows her to find open looks at the rim. She rises 10 positions to #133.

[player_tooltip player_id='1211276' first='Autumn' last='Hayes']

MORE MOVERS AND SHAKERS

+31 [player_tooltip player_id='1211276' first='Autumn' last='Hayes'] – 5'7 guard, Osseo

+23 [player_tooltip player_id='1323607' first='Danielle' last='Nubile'] – 6'2 forward, Marshall (Southwest Minnesota State)

+15 [player_tooltip player_id='759866' first='Samantha' last='Bennett'] – 5'9 guard, New Life Academy (UW-Platteville)

+7 [player_tooltip player_id='764205' first='Kendall' last='Krause'] – 5'7 guard, Spring Lake Park

+6 [player_tooltip player_id='639702' first='Ellie' last='Drange'] – 5'9 guard, Hill-Murray

+6 [player_tooltip player_id='764223' first='Paige' last='Norman'] – 6'0 forward, Mountain Iron-Buhl

+5 [player_tooltip player_id='998178' first='Greta' last='Swendseid'] – 5'8 guard, Minnetonka

+3 [player_tooltip player_id='662002' first='Sara' last='Stern'] – 6'0 forward, Maple Grove

+3 [player_tooltip player_id='669145' first='Lily' last='Sabers'] – 5'6 guard, Providence Academy

+2 [player_tooltip player_id='764215' first='Mariko' last='Lang'] – 5'10 wing, Hill-Murray

+2 [player_tooltip player_id='675954' first='Brooke' last='Mickolichek'] – 5'10 guard/wing, Glencoe-Silver Lake

+2 [player_tooltip player_id='929128' first='Sienna' last='Fobb'] – 6'2 post, Breckenridge

+2 [player_tooltip player_id='944075' first='Maiya' last='Slusarczyk'] – 5'9 guard/wing, St. Michael-Albertville

+1 [player_tooltip player_id='764185' first='Candice' last='Ndomb'] – 5'8 guard, Duluth Marshall

+1 [player_tooltip player_id='644107' first='Inarah' last='Nesbitt'] – 5'9 forward, Hopkins

+1 [player_tooltip player_id='1175103' first='Morgan' last='Rysdam'] – 5'8 guard, Braham
