The Prep Girls Hoops Carolinas Freshman Showcase in Rock Hill recently wrapped up.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Even though it is dubbed “Football City, USA,” the Rock Hill Sports &amp; Events Center brings plenty of hoops activity to York County – including this upcoming weekend's Prep Girls Hoops Carolinas Expo.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Many a prospect across the state is also awaiting invites to the South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association (SCBCA) Elite Camp and there is increasing activity on the state's recruiting trail. Walker will remain in the area as she will play for coach Heather Macy at Georgia Southern. Walker fielded an initial offer to become an Eagle then was re-offered by Coach Macy last month. Before Walker begins life in Statesboro, she has her senior season with the Yellow Jackets on the brains. Wolf announced early last week that she will bring her many hoops talents to the Air Force Academy which is based in Colorado Springs. Wolf mentioned that she will attend the Air Force Prep School for the first of her five years at Air Force. Before Wolf becomes a Falcon, she has one more season remaining in Yellow Jackets blue and gold. Wolf recently completed her AAU career with North Carolina-based Lady Attack Elite. She did so again this past week with her announcement that she has committed to Belmont Abbey. Elliott has built a robust profile not only for her ability to drain 3-pointers and her ball distribution but for how ferocious she can be on the defensive end of the floor as well. The [program_tooltip program_id='988463' first='Mosch' last='Ball'] product competed in 26 of the Wildcats' games last season and averaged 12.9 points, 5.5 steals, four rebounds and 3.8 assists per matchup. The Hurricanes are dropping back down to the 3A ranks after a couple seasons at the 4A classification. Howell's final season at the travel level was spent with FBC Next Up. She would compete in all 28 matchups for Wren last season and averaged 9.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.2 steals and 2.2 assists per game. Centracchio announced last week that she will bring her athletic talents to the softball program at North Greenville. When the 2026-27 season commences for the Sharks, Centracchio will be part of a St. James team that will be among the 4A field after spending a couple of years competing amongst 5A Division 2 schools. She played in all 24 games last season for the Sharks and averaged 5.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and a team-leading 2.3 steals per matchup. But she has two more schools to mull over after this week as she would field offers from Garnder-Webb and West Georgia. Following a 2026 travel season where she played up in class on the Nike circuit with CP3 Flames 17U, Lucas is looking ahead to the 2026-27 season with a 4A South Pointe team whose uniform she has worn since the seventh grade. Lucas averaged 18.5 points, 5.5 steals and 5.3 assists while playing in all 29 contests for a Stallions team that reached last season's 4A Upper State championship. Pojani's recruitment has taken a massive uptick since guiding coach Presley Singleton's SCISA 4A First Baptist assembling to its first state championship since 1980. Her work this season on the travel realm with FBC Reign (along with guest playing for [program_tooltip program_id='988463' first='Mosch' last='Ball'] at the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit's Southeast Kickoff) has helped as well. Late last week, the star senior from Kingstree would field another offer courtesy of SC State. Shaw's senior season will be with a Blazers team that will be moving down from the 2A ranks into 1A. She played in all 24 of Kingstree's games last season and was a key catalyst behind coach James Price's Blazers finishing its 2025-26 season with a record of 19-5. Speaking of blue, a program whose signature color is blue – Voorhees – hopes she is wearing said hue following her swan song season with the Eagles. Brown's final season of travel ball was spent running with Team Essence South Georgia. She played in 23 of Beaufort's 26 contests last season and averaged 15.8 points, 4.9 rebounds and three steals per game. She averaged 7.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.4 steals per matchup. She was one of four from the class of 2027 on last season's Ridge View team. This past week, another in-state offer would find its way to Gamble by way of Erskine. In 2025-26, Gamble was part of a South Florence team that finished 25-4 and reached last season's 4A Lower State championship game. She averaged 5.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.7 steals per matchup throughout 2025-26. Gamble was one of four from the class of 2027 on last season's Bruins team. A featured name for one of the Palmetto State's premier 5A teams in Byrnes, Silver was part of a Rebels team that concluded its 2025-26 campaign with a stellar 24-4 mark. Jay's travel career has included a stint with Lady TUSC and, most recently, with FBC United We Trust. She played in 21 of Lower Richland's 25 contests last season for a Diamond Hornets team that concluded its 2025-26 season with a solid record of 16-9.
