Jacara rose to her potential scoring 17 points in the quarter final loss to Rosedale. She shot 50% from beyond the arc going 2 for 4 grabbed 6 boards, and a monster blocked shot. She has played in the shadows for many of our viewings but we have always known that she possessed immense talent and she showed it while leading the Panthers in scoring and efficiency.

Jacara had a strong outing against Pikesville, pouring in 15 points on a variety of drives to the hoop, mid-range shots and a three pointer. Her length and smooth touch caused problems for defenders all day long.

Jacara comes in as a newcomer to the rankings but not the state. She was originally listed as a 2026 and as a center only. In her new class and position she has taken a incredible leap. She showing advanced perimeter skills that has either been developed or not showcased and with her height and length she has become the most versatile player in the class. She has always been a good finisher inside and we see she has nice touch on her shot as well.

We’ve listed Jacara as a center for her entire career, this weekend we didn’t see her at center at all. She was strickly playing the perimeter and looked really comfortable doing so. She shot the ball well with good form out to the three. She seems to be filling in to the wing/guard role well.

College coaches should be putting in their bids now as Jacara will be one of the most coveted players in the class. She has the physical gifts in place and her skill level is steadily improving. She has good timing to block and alter shots and she has the soft hands to catch and finish inside. There is no limit on how good she will become.

Jacara has the next level size and skill but we are learning that she has been in the gym improving her skill. Seems like she just needed the opportunity to show her value. She has shown that she can be trusted as a go to player inside and she can put the ball on the floor some enabling her to stretch the court. She is a player to watch for the next couple of years.
