I took to Twitter to see what duos in North Carolina need to be watched this upcoming high school season, and the responses did not disappoint. Here are some of the duos in Charlotte area 4A schools that should be watched.

Hickory Ridge has been a fun team to watch with their good balance of guards and forwards that can dominate all areas of the court. [player_tooltip player_id='253285' first='Alyssa' last='Lewis'] has been a leader for the team for years, and there's no doubt she is going to want to have an impressive senior season. Lewis is such a consistent shooter being able to swish her shot from all over the court. She takes full advantage of any kind of separation from her opponent whether she comes off the dribble or runs into her pass to put up the shot. She has good vision on the court finding her teammate, [player_tooltip player_id='252850' first='Sheree' last='Gidney'], inside the paint sealing off her opponents. Gidney and Lewis both crash the boards doing whatever it takes to grab the rebound, and they know how to find each other pushing the ball up the court.

Hickory Ridge's Greater Metro 4A rivals at Lake Norman have two different duos that should be watched. The backcourt of [player_tooltip player_id='254584' first='Kirsten' last='Lewis-Williams'] and [player_tooltip player_id='288423' first='Addison' last='Sirianni'] gives the Wildcats an advantage every time. Lewis-Williams will be setting the tone as the lone senior leader continuing to do it all for her team from handling the ball, to driving to the basket, to pulling up for jump shots, to grabbing rebounds, and the list goes on and on. Sirianni takes advantage of someone else handling the ball most of the game by setting up plays for herself to get open and show off her shot from deep. Both are great defenders locking up their opponents making sure the best players on the opposing teams don't have easy points.

The other duo with the Wildcats are actually twin sisters. The Shehan duo has been rising their stock over the past year showing off their shots from deep and their ability to drive hard to the basket for some points. [player_tooltip player_id='331368' first='Alexis' last='Shehan'] is constantly moving on the court finding the gaps on defense making her opponents move around losing their assignments. [player_tooltip player_id='288422' first='Samantha' last='Shehan'] crashes the boards efficiently on both ends of the court, and she is quick with the offensive rebound to put right back up for two points.

Now, we shift to the So Meck 4A conference at Myers Park. The mustang's offense runs through [player_tooltip player_id='116914' first='Mia' last='Xerras'] as she controls the ball bringing it up the court, and she has a lethal three point shot that she can make from anywhere. She has a quick release on her shot making it difficult for anyone to guard her, and she finds the openings in the defense to get the pass to her teammates. Her counterpart, [player_tooltip player_id='253286' first='Reese' last='Wilson'], is a three level scorer giving support with her shot from the outside or being able to drive hard to the basket. Both are great at picking the pocket of their opponents and pushing the ball up the court finishing the fast break on their own or finding their open teammates.

Just a few miles away at South Meck, [player_tooltip player_id='297180' first='Betsey' last='Burnett'] and [player_tooltip player_id='253889' first='Anastasia' last='Sinclair'] are going to make a lethal backcourt working together. Sinclair has been a leader for the Sabres for years pushing the ball up the court, being a top defender grabbing steals to push the other direction, and knocking down shots from deep. With the addition of Burnett, she can now pass the ball to another guard who battles through contact in the paint or pulls up easily for shots over her defenders all over the court. Both of these guards are going to be pesky defenders at the top of the key, and they quickly turn defense into points scoring in transition.

I took to Twitter to see what duos in North Carolina need to be watched this upcoming high school season, and the responses did not disappoint. Here are some of the duos in Charlotte area 4A schools that should be watched.
