Good AAU 16U and 17U squads to watch

I have already spoken about why this AAU season is big for girls like [player_tooltip player_id='364761' first='Ava' last='Limcaoco'], but other sleepers are on this Fairfax Stars team. Taylor Moran put up big numbers for Mount Airy Christian Academy. She is a fantastic shooter and could be a riser this AAU season with some big performance and more exposure. Cheyenne Sweeney is a name to watch as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>NRV storm elite 17U<br>NRV storm elite has many outstanding players from the 2025 class. Peyton Dunbar, [player_tooltip player_id='513790' first='Madilyn' last='Winterton'], [player_tooltip player_id='389124' first='Maddie' last='Caron'], and [player_tooltip player_id='877371' first='Moriah' last='Tate'] are all worth a watch. With her tremendous skill and size, Dunbar is the biggest name to watch here. She is an offensive force and can play either guard position. These girls were also named to the SWVA top ballers, and all of them will be fantastic to watch.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Impact CVA<br>Impact CVA has a lot of girls that play in smaller schools, so they are a team to find some under-watched players. [player_tooltip player_id='476422' first='Aden' last='Clark'] is an excellent example of that, and even though she's ranked, more people need to see her play. Aden is a fantastic shooter and a great offensive player. Names like [player_tooltip player_id='965678' first='McKenzie' last='Harris'] and Imani Crider are also worth a watch.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cya shock 17U<br>CYA Shock 17U team is an underrated and fun team to watch, especially if you're someone who wants to watch some of NOVA's hidden gems. They have girls like [player_tooltip player_id='468720' first='Emma' last='O'Connor'] and Alex Gonzalez, who are excellent basketball players. They also have [player_tooltip player_id='746329' first='Avery' last='Griepentrog'], who is coming off her third straight state title with an absolute powerhouse in the James Madison Warhawks. They have a bunch of sleepers that are worth watching.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Team Takeover 16U<br>I wanted to list teams with underrated and underseen players on their team for this list. But Team Takeover has a lot of talent, and their roster is full of players that will be massive players in the DMV basketball scene for years. [player_tooltip player_id='239417' first='Amirah' last='Anderson'] just came off a season where she was the second-leading scorer on a talent-rich Bishop Ireton team. Freshman sharpshooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='433873' first='Autumn' last='Fleary'] is the third-ranked freshman in Maryland, and 6'4 forward [player_tooltip player_id='303136' first='Erin' last='Miller'] is a double-double machine. This team is loaded with talent, and if you have the opportunity to watch them, you should.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
