Continue ReadingIliana Greene Iliana Greene 5’5″ | PG Regis Jesuit | 2025 State CO has the making to be the most skilled guard in the class with all the tricks she has in her bag. She is a small guard coming in at 5’4 but doesn’t allow that to stop her from shining on the court. As a lead guard she is able to facilitate at a high-level. She is a great point guard that excels at finding players in their spots for open shots. Iliana’s game also comes with the capability to score in bust from behind the arc, forcing the defense to pick her up early.
On one of the most talented teams in the state, Delainey Miller Delainey Miller 5’10” | CG Cherokee Trail | 2025 State CO was able to make her presence felt all season. She served as a point-forward controlling the game in a different way each game, depending on what the team needed. Which was mainly on the offensive end. Her willingness to take a backseat and let the game come to her would make it hard for teams to gameplan for her. While most of her work was done at the rim on smaller guards, she did show the ability to put the ball down on the wing and attack.
Air Academy has plenty of talent on the roster but one of the more underrated players would have to be Lydia Flowers Lydia Flowers 5’11” | SF Air Academy | 2025 State CO . She has a well-balanced game that allows her to fit in with any combination of players. Making her a big part of the team’s success last season, this year she was the most comfortable in her role taking more shots and being more aggressive on the defensive end of the floor. Lydia crashes the glass hard on the weakside giving her a lot of easy opportunities offensively.
Highlights
Olivia Mortensen Olivia Mortensen 5’9″ | SG Legacy | 2025 State CO will surely be a household name by the end of next season as the Legacy guard has been a stock riser all season and has shown no signs of slowing down. She may be the smallest player to average 10+ rebounds this season coming in at 5’9. Olivia lives around the rim only attempting 28 3’s last season. She has an array of moves that keeps the defense guessing what will come next. As she heads into the summer play with BC Denver, I wonder what new tools she will be able to come back with.
Deija Roberson Deija Roberson 6’3″ | PF Grandview | 2025 State CO has flown under the radar for the past two years but all of that has changed since the state tournament. The 6’2 forward brings energy and toughness when on the floor. She is one of the best at finding out holes in the defense to create open looks for herself offensively, when you combine that with her passing in and out of the post she becomes a great X-Factor in clutch games.
