I had the chance to see her last year and was impressed with her skills. She’s a year older and a year wiser, displayed good handles and she is shifty enough to score in multiple phases. Did a good job on the boards and distributed the ball effectively. Look for her stock to continue to go up with another good summer.

Kyleigh played a key role for the state runner-up Lady Cardinals and flashed her potential on the biggest stage in the championship game. She then turned up the intensity and played at a high level for Richmond Heat throughout the travel season. Her strong play recently earned her first college offer from Asbury University. Kyleigh was one of my top performers at the camp and I think she has what college commentators refer to as “winning DNA”. Stakelin just does a lot of things well and it leads to her teams winning games consistently. Whether it’s rebounding the ball, making smart passes or knocking down open shots, Kyleigh does a little bit of everything and does it all well.

Another member of the GRC program who was a top player on Sunday, Stakelin makes an impact on the games with her motor and how hard she plays. Capable of doing a lot more than just score, Kyleigh is a good defender and rebounder who is still improving as a playmaker. Her ceiling is high and Stakelin should keep getting better.

Players at GRC tend to suffer from the same issues that the ladies at Sacred Heart have in their careers. Meaning that there is so much talent on the roster that individuals can be overlooked because there is so much depth. Kyleigh is ready for her breakout with the Lady Cards this season as she has been a role player as a Sophomore but is likely a starter for one of the top teams in the state this season. Keep an eye out for Stakelin to become a double figure scorer this season and earn some scholarships over the next year.

GRC lost 5 Seniors to graduation but the cupboard is far from bare in Winchester. Stakelin is in line for a lot more touches and shots per game as a Junior and a bet on her to be successful would be a smart one. Kyleigh needs to be a more confident shooter from the perimeter but her mechanics aren’t bad so she should be able to shoot the ball well if she makes it a focus to improve in that area.

This was my first time seeing Stakelin in person, and she didn’t disappoint those who were watching. Many times, I overheard parents and other watchers mentioning how tough she was, and the “does this kid get tired” comment was made multiple times. She is a load to deal with, and doesn’t shy away from contact at all.

Another player who was dominant in this 16U division. Stakelin has such a well-formed and fluid jumper, regardless if they’re all falling, the defense has to respect it, and from there she just takes full advantage. A workhorse of a playwright as well.

Long and active PG with a good wingspan able to protect the passing lanes and does a nice job around the rim. Really like her work ethic and her desire to be a great player. Moves well without the ball and always putting her team first. Love her game!

Kyleigh continues to play at a high level during the travel season and put together some impressive outings at The Classic, helping her team go 5-0 on the weekend. She splashed threes with deep range, made terrific reads off screens, and moved well without the ball, making timely basket cuts. Kyleigh did a great job getting downhill and finishing strong at the rim while also keeping her teammates involved. Her combination of skill, feel, and poise is gaining well-deserved college interest.
