About Alanna
Expert Analysis

Alanna is really starting to stand out, and several small college coaches took notice this weekend. She is so strong/powerful and physical, but she can also get out and run the floor, plus she plays with some bounce. She is an imposing presence, especially on the boards and defensively, but when she gets downhill attacking the basket, few people want to get in her way and take a charge. She does have solid mid-post skill, but her physicality and ability to enforce her will inside of the paint is probably as important to her game as anything.

I saw Alanna in the Spring, and she was solid. But after watching her with her Fishers team in June, then again these last couple of days in Louisville, she has taken another step and is becoming a problem for opponents. She is so strong and overpowering now, plus she’s still athletic in transition. She is an aggressive rebounder, and she keeps opportunities alive for her team. She has a nice mid-post offensive game, and she is extremely tough & physical inside.

Alanna is kind of a ‘tweener right now, but she absolutely battles on the floor. She is strong, physical, but bouncy and athletic. She can get out and run, finish in transition, or sit down and post up smaller defenders. At the same time, she is comfortable attacking the basket from the perimeter, plus she has a little touch outside. Alanna also has some versatility defensively and can take on bigger guards, wings, and undersized power players.
