The senior was a dominant force throughout the game. Her combination of a good first step made her too quick for opposing forwards. While she’s simply too strong for guards. She had one of the performances of the day with 26 points and 10 rebounds in the win for Sapulpa.
Taylor Bilby
Taylor Bilby
Bilby started the game on fire from three and ended it hitting big diggers to seal the win for her squad. She went five of six from distance, many of them of the catch and shoot varieties. But she did hit a nice one off the dribble one as well. Her 20 points were huge for Sapulpa in their quarterfinals victory.
A spark plug of a guard, she’s quick off the floor which shows in her finishing abilities and also with the way she rebounds very well for a guard. McQuarters had 13 huge rebounds on the day. Her 9 points left her just short of a double-double.
A do it all wing-forward, the high upside sophomore was the driving force for the Lady Titans. She’s quick for her size, with a huge wingspan that she puts to use to alter shots, living in the passing lanes and attacking the glass. On the offensive end, she’s quick and strong of the dribble. The highly promising sophomore finished 16 points and 10 rebounds.
The Baylor commit is a big time athlete, with a strong and skilled finishing game around the rim. She took over down the stretch, living at the rim and earning trips to the line. Where she went 14-19 from the charity stripe. Johnson finished with a big time 26 point and 11 rebound double double in the clutch performance that has her Lady Hornets a step closer to a Class 5A State Title.
Speed kills and joining Johnson in turning the game for the Lady Hornets was Owens. She’s lightning quick to blow by defenders, with outstanding long speed in transition as well. Along with her ability to pressure the rim, she hit a pair of three pointers. Finishing with a full stat line of 13 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals.
The force in the middle for Midwest City. The official box score only credited her with two blocks, but it felt like a lot more with her active hands and good instincts. Along with her tough play in the paint defensively, Douglas was their most consistent scorer around the rim with good touch. She finished with 15 points and 9 rebounds.
After a slow start, El Reno pulled ahead in the second quarter and would never relinquish the lead. The senior’s combination of hunger to rebound and quality movements were a big part as she recorded a 20 point and 9 rebound day. Many of her points came from the second chance variety, as Pauline-Black is so difficult to keep off the offensive glass. Along with her accolades around the rim, the senior is a key passer for the Lady Indians unselfish, ball movement, find the best shot, offense.
Joining the senior with providing post dominance, Thomas had 17 points and 7 rebounds on the day. She’s more of a traditional five, who uses her strength to carve out space around the basket. But there’s versatility to her game, she stepped out and nailed a three at one point. And she’s also a strong passer for a post.
As covered above, one of the aspects that makes El Reno so good is their unselfish play. The senior lead guard appears to be the creative heart of that aspect. She has outstanding floor vision, making honest to god “no look” passes and reads. Most kids tend to look away after the pass is made, trying to look cool for cameras. But Sleeper is the genuine article when it comes misdirecting the defense. She finished with 5 assists but her impact was much louder.
Raw but promising, Thornton has legit size and is a great mover for her height and frame. Those aspects flashed on some blocks and the way she gets off the floor for rebounds. She was able to record 10 points and 7 rebounds against the talented Lady Indians. The junior requires further monitoring thanks to height and flashes of athletic gifts that can’t be taught.

Del City seems to be in a good position going forward, as their leading scoring was the sophomore who poured in 20 points and never backed down. The Lady Eagles were actually able to make a run to challenge El Reno in the fourth and it was the quick play of the lead guard at the heart of it.
The freshman led the way for the Lady Tigers with 19 clutch points. She has a quick, athletic and strong frame that makes her a handful off the dribble and in transition. While also connecting on both of her three pointers. With promising signs of athleticism combined with the clutch, winning performance, Dennis is a 2027 prospect who requires further monitoring.
Tayen Allen
Tayen Allen
Allen provided some much needed toughness down the stretch for Coweta. She hit some early threes, then in the second half would aggressive get down hill against the closeouts. The junior would score tough buckets around the rim, or earn trips to the line, on her way to 16 points and 4 steals.

An electric guard, Morrison was so dynamic on the night that in the second half Coweta resorted to face guarding and do just about everything possible to try to stop her. It worked for the win, but the junior still left her mark on the game with 21 points, an impressive 13 rebounds for her size and handing out 3 assists. The assists mark from the box score feels low as Morrison displayed some great vision and creating abilities with her passing. As a scorer, she’s simply too quick, with great body control when it comes to navigating through traffic. With a great floater, mid-range pull up and other good finishing around the rim.

Another freshman who shined late night was Lowmack. She hit clutch threes that helped the Lady Ropers force overtime in the exciting contest. It was a 14 point performance for her, as she looks to create a formidable backcourt for Rogers next year with Morrison.
