On many occasions, I’ve stated that Tierney can hang her hat on being a 3&D type of prospect, and she has continued to live up to that. Offensively, her game goes beyond just being a catch and shoot player. She moves well without the ball in her hands, knows when to slash, cut, and dive to the rim for easy finishes, and usually looks to make the next play if the first scoring option is not there. Her value starts with the shooting and defensive potential, but the feel, movement, and willingness to impact the game in different ways are what make her a prospect to keep watching.

Lucy’s size and physicality certainly comes in handy- when she’s playing on the wing, she has an advantage to use her power and go hard to the basket. Yet she also has the skills to catch and shoot from outside. She’s Efficient with a capital E! Keep Lucy on your radar- she has a high ceiling!

Every team needs a player that can count on to cause issues for the oppisites team best player, and Benet has that in Tierney. This program has a chance of making it back down state again, and with all the scoring power they have. She brings a 3&D skillset that will definitely be needed when games close. Theres no fear in this kid.

Tierney has been my favorite player to watch so far this season, simply because of the assignments she’s tasked with guarding, and there is no fear in her face or body language at all. The offensive side of the ball is present, and she has the ultimate green light from the outside, but i truly believe her effort and discipline on the defensive side will be top of the list on why D1 schools will show interest. 3&D players will always have value at the next level.

Tierney has truly been a bright spot for Benet, and it’s her ability to fit whatever role is needed of her for that specific game. She can be utilized as a catch and shoot player, or someone to come in and cause some ruckus defensively.. or she’ll show on a few possessions that she can create for herself and make plays. High upside.

I was able to see the home opener and last night’s game against one of the top players in the country in person. In both games, Tierny’s defense is why she plays the minutes that she does. She doesn’t back down, she’ll dive on the floor, and has no problem being physical. The confidence was shown in both games, too. This kid is on the right trajectory, she’s showing her ability to be a legit 3&D standout.. which college coaches will love.

Right place, right time type of kid, and it is not all by luck. This kid has a solid amount of off ball IQ as a sophomore, and it is rare to see it nowadays. IN my opinion, her ability to stretch the floor is her number one skillset, but it’s the way she gets her shot off without having to relocate every time. She gets to spots that give her enough room and time to let loose, before a defender can contest, and even if they do… she barely seems bothered.

Tierney is a prospect that should gain way more attention over the next year. She’s a solid example of excelling in your role at a high level. Off the screen, she can roll into an easy bucket without needing to dribble, and can be one of the best catch-and-shoot players on the court.

Lucy for threeeee! With her frame and length, I like how versatile she is! Can do damage from both inside and outside offensively. When grabbing boards, she’s able to get it out quickly on transition. Love her help side D! (Below, #14)
