Divine Bourrage Divine Bourrage 6’0″ | CG Davenport North | 2025 State IA comes into this 2025 Rankings Update and moves up to the #4th ranked prospect in the nation. Bourrage is someone that hold 35+ power-5 offers and I don’t expect that list to slow down any time soon. She has been a constant in the high school scene the past few years, dominating throughout the high school seasons and bringing that tenacity to the AAU travel scene as well. Bourrage’s blow up has been more recent as of late. Two years ago she was the #2 ranked prospect in Iowa and someone that could do some good things but nothing like what she is now. It really all started at Nike Nationals last summer. Bourrage’s was a Top 5 prospect at the 17U level at Nationals, picking up more attention every minute she was on the floor. Since then, she has been on an upward trajectory and frankly, she has been absolutely killing it. To follow this showing, she had an impressive Winter season, leading into this Spring with her new AAU program, Example Academy out of Chicago. Being a Top Rated prospect throughout the country is impressive in any form but to be Top 5 is truly special. As long as Bourrage continues to trust in her work, she is going to continue to shine. No matter who she is lacing up with in the future.
Ever since Jenica Lewis Jenica Lewis 5’10” | PG Johnston | 2026 State IA was a young age, she is been someone that has been a hot commodity in the recruiting world out of the State of Iowa. She has floated around the Top 20’s ranking in the nation and that is still true to this day. In the latest Ranking Update, Lewis comes in at #23 in the 2026 Class. Lewis’s talent is second-to-none. She is a fast producer with the basketball in every way imaginable, while having a flame thrower from distance when shooting the ball. This past high school season she is coming off of a year where she helped lead her Johnston team to an undefeated season, a 5A State Title, and a team ranking of #12 in the nation according to MaxPreps. As of most recent, Lewis has joined with the powerhouse program, the All Iowa Attack 17U EYBL team in hopes of helping them bring home a National Title this summer. Something that is more than possible with the type of players that group has brought in over the past few months.
This past high school Winter Journey Houston Journey Houston 5’11” | CG Davenport North | 2025 State IA of Davenport North High School had her season end due to injury but that doesn’t change the fact that she is an Iowa Hawkeye’s commit for the future and one hell of a prospect when she is healthy. Houston is returning off of a knee injury but she is looking to come back better then ever. She is currently ranked #50 on ESPNW’s Top 60 for the 2025 Class nation-wide. Houston has as game of a mixture of a Combo Guard and a Small Forward. She has some size to be able to back down smaller opponents, while usually getting easy buckets by running the floor in transition. She also has the ability to step out and hit a nasty step-back jumper if she deems it necessary. I don’t think that Houston will have the chance to come back this AAU season and at this point, I wouldn’t push it. She is already a D1 commit to the Hawkeyes and that won’t change. I’m sure the Iowa coaching staff would appreciate it if she took some more time to herself to get right prior to lacing her kick’s again.
Highlights
Honorable Mentions
There really is no thing as the “Honorable Mentions” for National Rankings but there are some prospect that are on the borderline of making those ranking. One of those prospects out of this state is Jayla Williams Jayla Williams 5’10” | CG Ankeny | 2026 State IA . Wiliams is an athlete. She thrives on any team she plays for because of her unselfish play-style and willingness to pass on the floor. She stands right around 5’11 and she kills anyone who steps in her way in a 1v1 matchup. Coming into this past high school season, Williams took visits to a handful of Power-5 schools so I wouldn’t be surprised if those visits/offers continue. We have Williams ranked as the #2 prospect in the 2026 Class in Iowa and if it wasn’t for Lewis, she would be the clear #1 but that is definitely up for debate. Williams may not have the same offers as Lewis but I do think she is just as good of a prospect. She checks all the same boxes while having a little more size and a little different skill-set. It’ll be interesting how that ranking goes over their next 2 years but as of right now, this is another viable option for Power-5 programs across the US.
As of most recent, Amani Jenkins Amani Jenkins 6’2″ | C Johnston | 2025 State IA has opened up her recruitment because of a coaching change at Marquette. Jenkins is a Power Forward/Center, that is a handful in the paint in every imaginable situation. She is a dominating force to deal with down low with a physical demeanor. I’m not sure who is going to be able to scoop up Jenkins at this point but she is going to be one of the highest rated prospects available out of the state of Iowa and someone that would be in consideration as an elite prospect in the country for the 2025 Class. As long as she finds the correct fit at the next level, she is going to be able to do her thing and show her worth almost immediately. She has size, coordination, balance, and she is very skilled when she is in her bag. If she keeps it simple, she is going to continue to kill it. No doubt in my mind.
