The bright light for Camanche High School the last couple of years has been Jenna Dunlap as their 6′ Power Forward and their team knows it. You can tell they know it by how often they try to get Dunlap the ball in favorable positions underneath. She consistently has to be moving within their system as they try to swing and continue to move without hesitation, making it tough for the defense to keep track of where they matchup might be. If you strip away everything else and just look at Dunlap’s size, skill , and determination – you can tell she could do some things at the college level one day. As long as she stays in love with the game, I don’t see why she wouldn’t be able to impact a program at the Forward position in the foreseeable future.

. I think Dunlap’s best basketball is ahead of her — she’s got size, plays disciplined defense, rebounds at a high level, and converts field goals a high clip. Her skillset was on display in her matchup vs. Bellevue, where she just about tallied a double-double with 8 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists and a big block. I’m looking forward to seeing Dunlap’s development over her career as she continues to grow her offensive game, and also continues to be a menace in the paint on defense — she’s averaging 3 blocks per season.

at the PF spot. Out of her area, Dunlap is a tough individual to keep a handle on throughout the entire duration of a contest. She comes in right around 6’0 and she has a solid understanding of what to do when. That might seem like common sense but common sense isn’t so common nowadays. If you are a player that understands the in’s and out’s of situational basketball, it can carry you a long way in this game and we are starting to see that more and more out of Dunlap. She makes easy plays, she uses her size whenever plausible to dominate, and she isn’t afraid to mix it up with anyone that might come in her way. I’m not sure how Camanche fairs the rest of this Winter but I know that Dunlap is going to be someone we hear about consistently because of her production moving forward under the bucket.

a few times prior to this Player Rankings Update release because she is someone that should put up some numbers at Camanche over this next three months. Dunlap comes into her Freshman year as a 5’11 PF, that controls the painted area and all the action that is happening between the blocks on both ends of the floor. I first had the privilege of seeing Dunlap compete with her
Iowa Prep
program about 8 months ago and she stood out as a constant for her team. I expect much of the same out of her at Varsity level this Winter. She might not “wow” anyone away but she plays some hard-nosed basketball and that is all you can ask for from a coaching perspective.

should see the Varsity floor almost immediately for the Storm. Dunlap is coming off of a respectable AAU season with her
Iowa Prep
program and she is looking to build off of that over the next couple of years. As of most recent, Camanche hasn’t had a ton of producers on the offensive side of the ball so Dunlap is going to be their spark in a lot of ways and I’m sure she will put up positive numbers in a few different statistical categories before the Spring of 2025 comes around.

is going to be an incoming Freshman this Winter at Camanche High School and I’m excited to see what she can piece together over the next four years. Dunlap is someone that steps onto the hardwood with size and coordination. She stands right around 5’11-6’0 and that helps her deal with her personal matchups at a high rate. Camanche is a program that is going to compete every time they take the floor but it will definitely help them to have some height coming in. If Dunlap is the type of prospect to fall in love with the process, I’m sure she will have a successful career with the Storm.
