Kyla was an easy addition to the 2029 watch list because she has tremendous athletic talent. If she isn’t already a track participant, she probably should be. She is explosive in all directions, she’s great out in the open floor in transition, and she is an active defender constantly hounding opposing ball-handlers. Playing with and against Saniya Smith Saniya Smith 5'6" | CG Pike | 2027 State IN , Savayah Mitchell Savayah Mitchell 5'8" | PG Pike | 2029 State IN , and company in practice every day should only help her develop her skillset and prepare her for when her opportunities come this Winter in a loaded Red Devil backcourt.

This was my first opportunity to see Kyla in action, and she is very intriguing. She has noticeable talent and can run, jump, and change directions very well. Early in the game I saw, she was quick to get to the rim to finish, and she was very active at the defensive end of the floor. Later in that game, she played more on the ball and ran a truer point guard position. She still has plenty of time to continue her skill development, but as she tightens her all-around skillset and pairs it with her track type of athleticism, she could be a problem for Red Devil opponents in the future.
